Recently I had issues with my right knee as well, so I went to Ann Arbor to see him in his new office, and he treated me with prolotherapy again. It's only a day later and it already feels better and more stable. I'm still grieving over the move, as I live pretty far from Ann Arbor, and I plan to do all in my power to convince Dr. Krasnick to open a second small office on the east side so that his former patients can see him more easily, AND to train new doctors to do what he does. This is one of the most wonderful doctors in Michigan and if you've got joint issues, he's the man to see!

He listens, explains the underlying condition, and even remembers the results of MRIs run several years ago. Unlike the average joe just passing out pills, Dr. Krasnick focuses on ultrasound diagnosis, cutting edge treatments and physical therapy. The new location was very easy access even on crutches. I trust Dr. Krasnick to do what's best for me.

She did a thorough review of my physical history which included current medications and supplements I am taking for the injury to bone & cartilage, first. The staff were pretty knowledgeable and thorough in explaining everything. You require an ID, papers to complete, interviews and a few fees. You have to be approved by a physician. There are various forms and papers that must be filled out while you wait. Overall it takes some time but the staff gives you the information and will answer questions at any time. The initial email I received sounded promising but the help stopped there. My initial practitioner was Amanda. Frankly, she was not very bright. She made no queries as to what I was already taking, went entirely on the results of the blood test they did, basically treating the test results instead of me. As is the norm in allopathic medicine, the entire reason why I sought a different kind of help. She even wrote down the opposite of something I said, which was that the lactate form of magnesium I was taking appeared to be CAUSING my RLS, because when I started on a different form it was obvious what the connection was. But -- that was either not understood at all or was simply ignored, because what she wrote down was that it was helping. !!!!! How can you treat someone when you can't even get a simple report like this recorded correctly? Even though I had no improvement in symptoms and actually continued to decline, I just got the "same old same old" every session, with more and more being added based on my "progression" through the clipboard of "this is what you do for this test result." Balderdash, blah-blah, no IQ evident, just rules following. What about what I was already taking? Why was that not investigated for efficacy or negative effects? 35 pills a day already, and we ignore that? I was referred to Dr Schmidt himself, who also did absolutely nothing to help -- kept testing this and that supplement remotely, nopity-nope-nope. I decided to eat the $200 "exit fee" because it was cheaper than continuing to pay for something that CLEARLY was focused on a program that operates on what test results are for that "most wonderful test" that they use as a baseline. Don't bother wasting your money.
