We found Schaeffer Construction through a referral, and from the moment we contacted them we really felt this might be the right choice. Tim Schaeffer responded to our inquiry fast. He answered our questions, made suggestions, and came to our home the next day to gather information. He was professional, on time, made measurements, took pictures, answered more questions, and said he would get back to us within 24 hours. The next day we had his bid, and his game plan if accepted. This was all great, but it got even better once we accepted the bid, and construction got started. They poured footings that could easily support a full size building. Every board used was hand picked & top quality. The joints were precisely cut. The cedar decking was stained on all 4 sides, and then screwed to the framing from the sides so nothing shows from the top. There were no shortcuts taken building the roof, stairs, railings, and balusters. I could go on, but you get the picture! I highly recommend Schaeffer Construction.

My husband and I purchased a home in Grants Pass a year ago and it needed to be remodeled! We went…read morethrough a couple of different companies to get estimates and of course either they did not contact us back after speaking with them the first time or their bids were outrageous! I finally found Colt and Josef after finding a shed that they built on Facebook it was perfect for our home office it just needed to be finished on the inside! After they finished the shed which was incredible by the way! They asked if we needed other work done which we did, we needed a lot! Lol They stained our concrete for us next and it also looks incredible. Everything that they have done so far was very reasonably priced and incredible work, Colt is a perfectionist! So far they have also done my countertops, shelving and tiled backsplash in my kitchen. Next they will be working on a deck in our backyard these guys can truly do it all! If you need an incredible company to work on your home these are the men to call, you will not be disappointed! I look forward to working with them in the future whenever I need anything done. OnPoint Construction is our go to construction company for now on! Thank you for everything you've done for us! Renee & Virgil Llewellyn

I wrote this review while I was in the middle of a lawsuit with this company, and decided I…read moreshouldn't post it until that was all done. The time has come! If you value your money and your home comfort, do NOT hire this company. The owner is dishonest, sloppy, and unprofessional. My experience with him was so bad that I had to contact the contractors board for help. They organized a mediation and we ended up settling for a partial refund. J-Dog then breached the settlement agreement by writing me a check that bounced. I had to get a court judgment for breach of settlement and collect from their insurer. Going into detail about the nightmare of an experience I had with them would be way too long for a Yelp review, but I'm attaching some photos to show the poor quality of the work (these are only a couple of the many, many problems... there's seriously too much to post here). Oh, it also took over 4 months to complete a job that was estimated to take 3-6 weeks. The level of laziness and incompetence was actually impressive.
