Their people were AWESOME!!!! I was able to get 95% of the hard stuff done over the phone and through E-mail. As traveling back and forth was not a possibility. They developed a "picture" for me of how the job would look and gave me a lot of insight and advice on what would work best for my mom and her yard. I was truly astonished that Sarah made the effort to make suggestions that were based on functionality and not on profit. I was willing and wanted to pay for a more extensive design but, her advice made for a more functional area that works much better for my mom then what I had envisioned. With the added bonus of lowering the total cost by 6% because of removing the "fluff" that I had originally thought was needed. I was not able to be there for the installation but, Mike and Shane made sure to keep me updated on the progress and called me several times with questions and to let me know when they ran into unforeseen problems. Follow up is just as important as the main job at least to me it is. I have another company coming out to give me a repair estimate. Update: I am upgrading my review as the issue was a communication issue through a third party. Justin was willing to come out and do the repair with no hesitation. Just about every contractor out there is backed up with projects due to COVID and Moderna was no different so to leave the poor review was not appropriate since it was a poor communication issue.

Rubricx was the most expensive bid, but I got the distinct impression that the others would rush the job and were cutting corners, especially with regards to foundation preparation. Last thing I want is to spend money and find myself with problems a few years down the line. Joseph was very responsive and took the time to discuss all my concerns with me. I wasn't disappointed with my decision. The crew was great and did first rate work, responsive to my idea about installing a catch basin to be able to capture debris as part of the drainage system modifications, and generally went above and beyond. Yelp connected me with this contractor to repair my irrigation system that had been damaged by a…read morepool installation. The first company quoted $2100 to re-do the system. Mikey came out and said that wasn't necessary, that he would charge $150/hr and could fix it in a couple of hours...6 days (most of which he showed up in the evening and staid until late into the night) and $3,450.00 later, this is what he left me with. He said he would come back and fix it, but after seeing the entirety of what he did, I don't want him back on my property to do more damage and leave more mess. The system not only looks crudely constructed, it doesn't work at all. I had the company installing my sod send their irrigation guy out to assess what would be needed to repair it properly, and yep, the whole job needs to be ripped out and re-done. I requested a full refund of what I paid as I now have to pay again for the labor and parts, but Mikey is unwilling to do that. I am asking Yelp to honor their $2,500 guarantee and will be filing suit in small claims court for the remaining $950. I can't reply to your reply, Michael, but as you are the 'contractor' and the person that did this work, you know that you have been telling me you would be out since July 27th, the day after you finished the work. It is not my job to tell you to come clean up the job site and fix the shoddy job, though I've been requesting such since August 12th.
