I really appreciate him taking the time to get everything resolved and am happy how quickly we were able to get this resolved. 1 star Canceling your membership is almost impossible, I canceled my membership in June knowing that I will have to pay July and probably august which is not that big of a deal to me, I received a email confirming that my membership and canceled and assumed that was the end of it. Fast forward to today I am still being charged and have been receiving emails from their third party membership fee service provider informing me I have late payments. I ended up having to dispute the charges on my card just to stop being charged. I have emailed and called without receiving any replies, for over a month. Super cool gym with nice staff but this is ridiculous.

My daughter climbed the easy tall wall maybe a dozen times, my son did the same. then he moved on to the harder area across. I was beyond proud of them. There are no complexes here. No I'm better than you, you're worse than me type of people. Everyone chills and moves at their own pace. The gym is beyond fully stacked. There is bouldering, there is belaying for kids and adults, there is a ping pong table, there is weight lifting. Even the locker rooms are nice. Whether you're a kid, and adult, casual, or serious, this place is built for everyone. Of course folks may have issues with the parking but other than that everything else is incredible, come check it out!

Mellow Friday Evening Session with Ocean Breeze at Vital Climbing Gym…read more Came in on a Friday evening around 7pm and it was surprisingly not packed at all -- perfect timing! One side had a class going on while the free climbers had the other side to themselves. The floors are super soft and bouncy, which makes it feel safe (great for teens or anyone worried about falls). The music and overall noise level stayed low, giving the whole place a nice mellow, relaxed vibe. Being an open structure, the ocean breeze sweeps right through and feels refreshing, especially on a warm evening. You could even hear the occasional motorcycle drive by on Coast Hwy, but that was the only real outside noise. I noticed a lot of stretching happening, so if you're into yoga or want a good change-up from just climbing, this seems like a solid spot for that too. Overall, a chill and welcoming environment. Definitely a nice way to unwind after the week.

While I have indoor climbing experience, I wanted a safe and structured environment to transition to outdoor climbing and develop new skills--and this session delivered. The 15-minute hike up is definitely a challenge, but our guides made sure we took plenty of breaks. Our instructors, Fabi (the owner) and Kyle, were phenomenal. From the start, Fabi asked each of us what we wanted to learn and tailored the session accordingly. I was eager to learn how to set up an anchor, so he took a small group aside to teach us in detail, while Kyle worked with those ready to start climbing. Fabi's instruction was incredibly thorough, and safety was always the top priority--which I really appreciated. On top of anchor-building, I also learned how to rappel safely and execute a proper hand jam in a crack. Both Fabi and Kyle were patient, knowledgeable, and super encouraging. I felt completely safe the entire time, and they were more than happy to answer any questions we had. Now, I'm feeling that satisfying post-climb soreness, and I can't wait to come back! This experience was worth every penny for the skills, confidence, and safety knowledge I gained. Even with a two-hour drive from OC, I'll definitely be back when I get another free weekend. It's a clean and new facility that features a Kilter board (which can be set to any angle), a Tension board at 40 degrees, and two spray walls (one at 40 degrees and another at 20/30 degrees). There's also a small free weight gym, various hardboard options, and a few loading pins (just remember to bring your own grip strength). For the hang board area, I did struggle reaching and switching out the boards, so adding a stepping stool in the hang board area would make it more accessible for shorter climbers. They also have a small section of set routes graded A, B, and C (with A being the easiest) that incorporate a variety of V grades to encourage trying all the climbs. I visited during the grand opening, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I appreciated the training-focused environment, and they offer classes and personal training as well. There are monthly memberships available, complete with a free monthly guest pass, along with day pass options. Overall, this place really motivated me to train hard and get stronger for outdoor climbing. I love the variety of training options available to help climbers improve!
