Aside from beef, chicken, lamb and pork, they also sell fresh daily fish and some other gourmet speciality products such as stocks, marinades, soups, dips and quite a bit more. Like I said I've been shopping here for about 6 months and over that time food quality has been consistently excellent. The service is always impeccable and the shop is both modern and clean. Overall a first class establishment. Personally I think the prices are very reasonable considering the quality. They're open every day, yes even Sunday's and their brochure says they home delivery! I'm impressed. Highly recommended!

Sir-Loin is part of my weekly grocery shopping expedition. I'll start by having a bit of a sneaky peek at Sir-Loin, then head into the supermarket and see what the prices are. At that point, I'll remember that supermarket meat is generally pretty ordinary, and go out and grab some good stuff at Sir-Loin. I almost always grab a nice thick steak. Sometimes a porterhouse, sometimes a rump, sometimes something else. It's always pretty good, and the prices are more than reasonable. The guys and girls there are pretty personable and get on well with their customers. No complaints here.

They have a few staff on at a time so they tend to get through everyone alright but make sure to try and make eye contact so that they know you are waiting. The thing I like most about this place is that they provide a heap of brochures on the counter that give cooking instructions for the meat they sell. For a total cooking failure this is a real bonus for me as it helps me make sure I am not going to burn the meat, glaze it when I am not supposed to or do anything else wrong. The brochures are for items like Chicken Kiev as well as more general items like steak. The prices are standard amongst butchers but competitive when comparing to bigger chain stores such as Coles and Woolies.

This is the equal of the other store, and I happily buy most of my red meat here when I'm at Knox and don't have time to go to another smaller suburban butchery, just because it's so convenient. The prices are pretty decent, and I really like the steaks here. The chicken is alright, but if I'm at Knox, I'll usually stop at Lenard's. The service is good, better than most at Knox. The people are reasonably chatty, very friendly, and I've yet to have a bad experience.

The lady who served me was OK with that but the two blokes who I assume ran the place went on a cussing, staring episode. Plenty of other butchers around. I'm the customer. He puts the meat on display and I'm entitled to buy exactly the meat I want not what he thinks I should buy.

Conveniently located on the GF in the Well in Camberwell next to Coles, Rainbow Meats offers a broad range of fresh and delicious products. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. Rainbow's pricing is quite reasonable - you'd be able to pick up a massive piece of chicken for about $4 and a juicy Porterhouse Steak will cost you about $7. In addition to the plain traditional steaks, chicken breast, thighs, lamb rack, cutlets, sausages, angus burger patties etc; they also offer chicken breast marinated in breadcrumbs, sweet chilli pork meatballs (which look very tasty), kebabs and heaps more. If you're a Camberwell local or reside around the area, make sure to pay them a visit and have a look at what they have. It's worth it and, if you decide you like them and see yourself coming back, don't forget to get one of their loyalty cards. It allows you to earn points and redeem them for discounts later on.
