Great service for a car wash ! The two boys there were friendly and had a great sense of humor

Man those vacuums really do suck!! (Pardon the pun ) But for real though, I visited this establishment yesterday. Let me say, the service menu is user friendly, and the variety services are reasonably priced. You even have the option to use a gift card or type in a promotional code. I have seen where one of the technicians will walk over, and help the driver navigate the menu on the screen, but the young man working must have been quite busy as I only saw one actually walk the lots and putting in work so I understood. Besides, contrary to my youngest son's opinion of my technological ineptitude, I can actually operate most modern day technology with ease - perhaps I will exhibit a few emotional outbursts, but I can get the job done while only slightly cursing like a Sailor. After your sudsy adventure through the self guided, cleaning tunnel, you are given the access to their specialized tools for more advanced detailing. This will ensure the inside of your vehicle is just as polished as the outside. Rest assured if the inside does not match the outside, you will eventually be found out! Excellence is an attainable standard. At Otto's they offers black, microfiber towels for the the drip drops and to knock the dust off if necessary. The hoses stretch and rotate well, and you are privy to different types of hose attachments. Depending on which direction you park; one attachment can be used for the larger, flat surfaces. The other attachment is great for the angles and the intricate details. Also made available is a machine you are able to put your floor mats through so as to rid the carpeting and fabric of the crumblies your ankle biters or fury critters may have deposited in the carpet,. The sand here on the Emerald Coast is unique and doesn't stick too badly if it's not wet, but of course sand tends to get in all the unmentionable crevices of your car so it's great to be able to be so thorough. In Fl, if you aren't careful the salt air and love bugs will do a number on a decent paint job. I was relieved to discover a bottle of cleaner which I'm assuming was window cleaner, I also used it to shine up my tires, clean the rims, and wipe off a few scuff marks. A friend helped purchase this set of tires, so I try to be mindful of their usefulness and what a generous blessing they have turned out being. I also used the spray to get a few residual bugs off the hood & grill. Keeping her clean and shiny helps me notice all the new door dings and scrapes she must have picked up without my knowledge. I couldn't imagine hitting someone's car & avoiding making them aware, but alas I discovered a few yesterday. Hopefully my insurance will help cover the few boo boos that have popped up on Stella unannounced. Take your time in the detailing area as the parking lot is well lit. For those of us with borderline obsessive compulsive type tendencies, paying attention to detail is a joy rather than a character flaw. It is good thing to commit yourself to whatever the task is at hand and work as unto the Lord. Besides, a little sweat, hard work, and elbow grease is good for my Soul. (Again - pardon the pun!) My Dad always told me, "if you have no pride in your ride - leave it outside!" Over the years I've revised my take away on the meaning behind that sentiment. Now, I look forward to taking care of my little Soul named Stella. We've been through a lot together in this past year as co-owner with my father. She has definitely been "rode hard and put up wet" so to speak, but Stella is special to me because my father helped me purchase her. Years ago I had a charismatic NCO from the beautiful state of AL teach me a few things as a new service member arriving to my first duty station in Germany about the fine art of vehicle cleanliness. Recently, my dad took the time to give me a few refresher tips in case all the years of motor pool Mondays didn't drill a long list of proper preventative care and maintenance steps into my head. The protocols aren't too much different for privately owned vehicles but the intentionality behind paying attention to detail is similar, and the motivation is changed a bit. Truthfully, my father has been instrumental in helping purchase 3 vehicles throughout my life, and I now see it as an honor to take care of the things I've been blessed with as they help support and take care of me. Thanks to Otto's for helping me keep Stella clean & serviceable! Oh and I accidentally ran off with one of your towels, but I assure you it was returned today. read more

Otto's Express Car Wash - A view from my favorite spot - Car Wash Near Me - Destin, Florida

My car was damaged on the track inside of Otto's Car Wash in Destin (yes, there's footage). After initially telling me they were going to take care of it, they're refusing because two different quotes were $4,000 estimates (meanwhile, the owner is on vacation). So sorry that modern cars have cameras and sensors in the bumper! The attendant was working alone at the time, and told me so afterward and said he rushed me through because he was frazzled. Do NOT take your car through Otto's. If it is damaged, they'll give you a hard time, even though we all know they carry business insurance for this very reason. You'll be hearing from my attorney. read more

Wish we had an Otto's at home. Every time we come to Destin we're amazed by Otto's. I like to get the bugs off the car after a long drive and Otto's is so thorough at prepping the car before you even go through the wash. The car comes out clean and sparkling. The vacuums have strong suction and the grounds are spotless. If you're looking to have your car washed in Destin, Otto's is the place. read more

I took my truck there and it got scratch in several areas last year. I decided to give it a second chance with another new car I have, and same thing happened. The car wash scratched my brand new car in 3 different spots. Do NOT recommend this car wash! read more

Great setup! The machines are not too hard on your vehicle and they use quality products. Love the free vacuum and towels. I'll definitely swing by every time I'm in town. read more

LOVE Otto's Car Wash! Best car wash I've ever been to! I travel all the way from Panama City Beach every other week to get my baby washed because of how amazing Otto's is! At first, I thought $20 was a little steep for a drive thru express wash, however once you receive the full experience, you'll realize why! It's definitely worth it. New equipment, top of the line vacuums, awesome products for the wash, my vehicle is actually DRY when I exit the car wash, and my tires are shiny and waxed! It's definitely worth it and I'll be a repeat customer as long as I live in north Florida! Thanks Otto's! :) read more

Took our car here after arriving from Kentucky and it did a great job getting all the bugs off. And the guy helping us was from Danville, KY. read more

I've never seen an automatic car wash do such detail with a prep area to start. They brushed around the license plate which can cause a streak if not cleaned. This is an attention to detail that is unusual in a quick $20 car wash. Nice towels to dry off too. read more

Good vibes, friendly staff that ensured we got a good wash! Nice location, everything was clean and good quality.

What a great car wash! After a fun beach vacation we were about to head home to Texas and didn't want to make the trek in a sandy vehicle. Stopped by Otto's to inquire how much it would cost to use the vacuums and was surprised to learn they were FREE! Great suction on the vacuum , a rug beater, free cleaning spray and fresh towels to clean with. I ended up driving though the wash after all and the $10.00 wash exceeded expectations. All of the above combined with friendly staff was very impressive! I wish I had one by my house in Austin! read more

Great service - the staff were smiling and friendly. The wash was good, but the prices seemed higher than other places in the area. I'd still take this over the regional wash - although I don't think those guys have a location in Destin. Either way, a great place for a quick wash and vacuum. read more

This is the best car wash I've ever been to hands down. I use a similar car wash back home in Nola that I've always swore bye, but it doesn't compare with this set up. Wow, blown away! Will definitely be back when I'm in town. read more

Enthusiastic workers who were helpful and did a great "prewash". Great value and location. Everyone needs a wash once they get to the beach - this is a must-visit! (Plus the great music makes it fun to vacuum when your done.) read more

My car was clean! Also get a free vacuum with a purchase of a any wash. Vacuums had nice suction and the rug beater was absolutely the best! There was dog hair and cookie crumbs on my car mat and the rug beater had no problem getting it all out! read more

It's an auto car wash for $20. Don't expect a full detail and you will be happy. Good results on very dirty truck!

We stopped in after arriving from STL (760 miles). We ran into a lot of bugs and were in desperate need of a car wash. We came across Otto's while we were picking up groceries. I have to say... this is one of the best car washes we have ever been to. The two guys working did a great job hand scrubbing the windshield and grill prior to going through the car wash. We will definitely be back during future visits. read more

Ricidulous. If your car is already clean they will clean it. They refused to wash my car because it was dirty. It's a car wash. I had sand on my car, in Florida and went to a car wash near the beach where they said they couldnt wash my car because the sand was bad for their machines. I Didn't go mudding or off-roading, just drove down a sandy road. Hey Otto, stop hiring spoiled kids that don't want to work. NOTE - there were no rocks at all on the car. Sand only no thick red clay. You run a car wash. In Florida. Where everything is sand. The next place down the road did it no problem and I tipped ''em nicely. Kick rocks with red clay and make more excuses. read more

Def recommend here && also great music to keep you busy cleaning your car. read more

I'm only writing this review after having this same issue each visit. The guys that prep the vehicle before entering the car wash don't get all the bugs off the front of my vehicle or mirrors nor clean the wheels at all.Every time i get home i have to remove what they didn't and scrub off the front end and tires.Since you removed the prep area where customers could do this it's been an issue. When i buy a 27.00 car wash i don't think it's asking too much to have it properly cleaned. Please have the guys address this or at least open an area where the customers can do this like it used to be. : / read more

This car wash is NOT your grandpa's carwash! Otto's is on a whole other level of cool. Integrated speaker system built into the landscape is top tier. The wash itself gets it done and done right. Sure, self serves are okay but they really only serve the self...if you want your car noticed, spend the tad more for that privilege...oh and don't let the FREE VACUUMS fool you like the other places...im certain they are only free because they are powerful enough to pull the change right thru your clothing AND wallet!! All jokes aside 10 out of 10. read more
