I am so grateful to have found Ancient Path on Angie's List a couple of years ago. This company is…read moreexactly what I need. They will do both big and minor jobs with a wonderful attitude. I first called about my backyard wooden gate. I have a "kitchen door" type gate which allows me to open the top, put the garbage bag into the can in the alley for Friday pickup and not let the dogs out. It was beginning to sag and I was afraid I would have to have it replaced. The owner, Micah, looked it over and said he thought it just needed to be secured. He worked on the hinges and added a bolt to the bottom gate to support it and keep it level. He noticed that some of the nails in wooden fence itself were coming out and went back and secured them as well. I was very pleased with work he did. Micah is willing to do what you need -- a big job or just a small one! Since then, Ancient Path Handyman Services LLC have helped me with my back door, the gutters and a few other things. They get the highest rating from me. I don't think you can get better quality and value from anyone else!

I advise that you avoid this company…read more I had made a purchase through a national furniture retailer that subcontracted the delivery of my order through Henderson Transfer. The item was apparently lost at some point in transit, causing quite a delay for me. After finally tracking it down I was connected to someone here named Sue who told me that, while they had the merchandise (and had been in possession of it for some time) they were not going to deliver it to me anytime soon. She was very glib and insulting, which, after an hour of being transferred around, was more than merely just insulting, it was absolutely unforgivable. When I stated that delivering my furniture was not optional, that they had been hired to do it and I expected it delivered, she laughed. When I then said I was cancelling the order and filing a complaint with my retailer (her customer) she became extremely belligerent. I then had to contact the service department of my retailer and have them call to demand delivery of my purchase. My furniture did, finally, arrive (15 days after the original delivery date) and, of course, it was damaged. The gentlemen who delivered it were very nice and accommodating, especially given that their instructions, from Sue no doubt, were to leave $2k worth of merchandise on my doorstep. I paid the original retailer for "white glove delivery." It's a very good thing that I refused to sign until opening the package so they could document the damages. I was assured that someone would come to make repairs, or replace the items. We'll see. That's the service I got from this business. I would not do business with again.

To have the units maintained we called as the units were new and under warranty. From the very first call, the lady who answered the phone was absolutely a delight to speak with. She was so kind and accommodating. The men were out the next day checking up on the units as winter is approaching. The two young men from Blocher Company were very respectful, kind, friendly and so very helpful. The service from the beginning phone call to servicing the units was a service like I'm not use too from where I came from. The people and businesses in Cullman are by far the most helpful kind and friendly of all the places I've ever lived in my 86 years on this earth. I am in shock at how people treated each other in Cullman. This is certainly a special city with special people and I just wish I had lived all my 86 years in Cullman as this is UTOPIA compared to the other places. Cullman's greatest asset is simply the kind and helpful people like no where else. From the banks, grocery stores, pharmacies, doctors etc. Cullman I hope you know what a "gem" of a city you have please don't take it for granted. I have yet to meet one single rude person in this city. I've been here two years and love every minute of it. I'm sure there are many wonderful friendly companies here, but this is a "shout out" to the Blocker Company here in Cullman who has maintained my two AC units twice and each time I'm so very pleased with the quality of work and friendliness the young men who have visited my home to check the units. Customer Service is certainly their priority.
