Tiffany made sure to address our mom directly with such kindness, gentleness and clarity which allowed our mom to feel appreciated and heard. I go with my mom (and previously with my dad) to all of their doctor's appointments and the doctors, nurses, etc. speak directly to me. Which is infuriating for myself and my parents. What made our experience with Malloy & Son so special and impactful was the fact that Tiffany acknowledged that our mom was the decision maker. Not me or my twin sister. Tiffany spoke with her in a way that I wish I could bottle up and sell to every medical professional that I have to deal with when it comes to my parents care. My mom felt seen and valued and appreciated that she was the one that would make the decisions when it came to the details relating to our father's death. And it wasn't only how Tiffany dealt with our mom, but how she gently guided and supported my sister and I through the set up, the service and the aftermath. Her guidance, direction and support was both empowering and comforting. The entire Malloy/Hanson/Heallen family supported us and were there for us in the days following our father's death and most importantly the day of the service. As previously mentioned, Malloy and Son deserve more than five stars. If you need support following a loved one's death in the Clear Lake, League City, and wider Galveston County area, this wonderful family business (who have been in business for more than 100 years) will guide you and support you when you don't know where else to turn. This is undoubtedly one of the largest cemeteries in Galveston with quite literally thousands of…read moregraves. Unfortunately, this cemetery is surrounded on three sides by busy traffic, retail outlets, and a few residential homes nearby. The cemetery as a whole is very orderly, neatly arranged, and well manicured. This is still a very much active and ongoing cemetery with additional space for those who want to make this their forever home. You can choose burial or above ground mausoleum space. This place is very well attended by those who are still with us due to many graves and mausoleum spaces being covered in flowers and trinkets. There is an on-site enclosed chapel for services honoring the dearly departed. Closer to 61st St. you'll find some of the older headstones and family vaults. The only drawback of the cemetery is the fact that it gets easily flooded in a heavy rain, or especially in a hurricane, causing some of the stones to fall over.

There is a single 2 Lane paved road that runs right down the middle of it, and on either side are paved sidewalks that weave throughout the plots. The one thing you notice right away is how well organized and how magnificent many of the cemetery markers are. There are also quite a number of mausoleums to be found on the property. There are countless headstones dating from the latter part of the 1800s but most are from the 20th century. This cemetery is filled with the who's who of Galveston. This singular review does not even begin to explain the scale and scope of this historical cemetery. They did my mother's funeral in 1983 and they were awesome then too, very caring and accommodating. I am sorry if anyone has had a bad experience but ours was amazing! They also performed a funeral for a friend who was killed in 2011 and it was one of the largest funerals and visitations I have ever been to. I believe the guest book was over 900 for visitation. They did an excellent job coordinating the fireman and getting him buried in a different county.
