Pros: - We were able to make last minute reservations without any trouble. - Staff was very friendly. - Hotel was dog friendly. In fact, whenever the staff saw my husband walking the dogs, they offered a treat. It was very thoughtful. - Pool was very clean. One day we were there was very warm and the whole family enjoyed a swim. - Breakfast was very nice. There was a lot more variety than I expected (bread, bagels, eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, etc.). - One day we were running quite late for breakfast. We probably arrived 10 minutes before closing. The owner was very gracious and accommodating. We were able to sit and enjoy our meal without being rushed. - They have a nice gym. I didn't get the opportunity to use it, but I peeked in and was pleasantly surprised with equipment variety. - Rooms were clean and neat. Included fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. My kids (2 & 3 years old) got a kick out of "living" somewhere new. They were especially fond of a kid-sized fridge. - Water pressure and temperatures in the shower were great. - Price was really reasonable. Cons: - In the pool area there were some random puddles of water. I think they were in the process of addressing some leaks from the roof. It'll be nice to see if it is fixed before our next stay. - The hallway smelled a bit like smoke near our room. We were by the back entrance; so, I assume people were standing outside smoking. Nothing the hotel could really do to fix this. Overall we were really happy with our stay. We visit the area a few times a year to see family. We'll definitely consider staying again.

The tv is so grainy you can barely see it. 2 of the outlets don't work. So you go to call the front desk there are no phones in the rooms. We asked were the ice machine is but found out it's missing or broken. This is a crap hole. Shower only comes out super hot. Across the hall a lady thinks it's ok to let her 2 year old run in the hall to scream and play. Don't stay here. Sleep in your car it's much cleaner and better. Good night.

Owners Brent & Carol welcomed us to their lovely old homestead, accommodated our early arrival, and easily managed some dietary restrictions. The B & B has three rooms to rent out. We rented out the 2-bedroom "suite" with a full bathroom across the hall. The other two rooms each have their own bathroom, so you don't have to share with other guests. The house is quiet, cozy and the decoration is not too over-done. The wide living room is a wonderful place to play board games, read a book in the comfy chairs, or play the piano. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee plentiful. There was even a small refrigerator available in the dining room to store our open bottle of wine from Varick Winery.
