Plus the golf cart was just fun whipping down random cobblestone streets and through crowds of people. It was a really special experience for us, and our tour guide was superb; very jocular and down to earth. As part of the tour our guide also got us into the pantheon for free and showed us around one of the local churches which had unique graphic illusions (as well as some creepy skulls/skeletons incorporated into the religious artwork). One of my favorite parts of the tour was stopping to check out Giardino degli Aranci (orange grove public square overlooking the city at night). Highly recommended.

We all had ear pieces so we could all hear her while we were driving no matter which cart we were sitting in. They Both were Fabulous! We were able to request our tour to fit our wants. She showed us outstanding places we didn't even know we needed to see. She had the greatest photo shots for the city. She was funny. They allowed for a stop for Ice coffee, so yummy and gelato. It was very hot out today and the golf cart allowed us to beat the heat and cover more ground than we ever would have otherwise. Would do this again in a heartbeat and would Highly recommend them. We used this service for the transfer to and from the airport as well as short hops to the train station, the Vatican, and the catacombs. Where do I begin with this tour? We were picked up at our hotel and we drove about an hour or so, to get some coffee and a small on the go breakfast. Then we headed for Pompeii. We had a private 2hr guided tour. I've noticed that every tour guide (and I booked many tours so I can confirm) are like an encyclopedia and full of knowledgeable. Our guide walked us through the most beautiful parts and taught us so much. Everything from their plumbing system, the trade center, mosaic floors and walls, frescos, "fast food" concepts, the baths/spas, Mt. Vesuvius, the plaster bodies and so on, we got to experience and see how people lived. Honestly, it's not much different than today, as the basic principles and concept remains the same. After being absolutely blown away by Pompeii, we took a nice drive down to the Amalfi Coast's little town of Positano. Our guide, Giuseppe, made reservations for us in advance at Ristorante Buca Di Bacco Positanom which sits right on the water. Not only were the views magnificent but I've never had a more delicious lobster in my life. It was soft, flavorful and a little on the sweet side. It is worth flying back to Italy to eat it again, no joke! After lunch, my husband dipped his feet in the water and got to soak in the beauty of Positano. Next, we went to Limoncello tasting. I know this is native to this region and all but honestly, limoncello needs to be in a mixed drink. Its rough as a shot. After this, we had the option to go to Amalfi but we decided to head back to Rome, as it is all similar and didn't want to get back past 10pm. Also, one more thing to mention. Our driver was Roberto. This man was the most amazing driver. He drove so professionally and smoothly, where we didn't even feel a thing on those long drives, twists and turns. If you can fall asleep on that cliffside, you know you are in good hands with Roberto!

It was so much fun getting to ride through Rome on vespa's. While on the ride they pointed out all of the cool monuments and places to see with intermittent breaks to get into more detail about the Colloseo and the Via Appia as well as other cool places. We even had a short break to eat at one of their favorite gelato places, which by the way was awesome. I know this because my friends and I tired out a ton of different gelato places during our stay. Overall this was a great tour and I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but much of our time was wasted (45+ minutes) outdoors, standing in one spot, looking at a book at what's to come. It was brutal and when we actually walked through, it went quickly and before we knew it, we were done. I would have preferred the traditional method where the tour guide shows as well as teaches, instead of teaching you up front about what's to come and then you having to remember as you walk around.
