They went from rating a 4 out of 10, to now being a 7 out of 10! thats a huge improvement!!! Everyone i know that attends or did attend this school loves it. I feel like the diversity helps because people of different cultures are welcomed into this environment. The school also helps with your child's bilingual needs no matter what language they speak, and chances are if your child doesn't speak Spanish they will pick some up from there fellow classmates.

Glenbard South is the smallest Glenbard, but they are an amazing school…read more I transferred there in Feb2013 and I just graduated this June. They offer a variety of classes for being such a small school. The teachers really know what they are doing and are very knowledgable on their subject. My favorite part about South is their special education program. They are a small school, and they do a great job integrating the kids into the school by having them walk the hallways to class instead of keeping all the kids hidden away in a far-off hallway. They accept special needs kids from outside of their district and can take in kids from neighboring Glenbards. Also, GBS has a variety of sports (their football team is something to brag about) and extracurriculars for kids to do, and many kids do more than one thing. I personally was on the dance team, key club, spanish club, and best buddies and had a great time on all of them. As for the kids, I'd say MOST of them are nice. It's such a small school, so there will be a lot of cliques. Coming in the middle of my Junior year was not ideal, but the kids in my grade were really welcoming and I ended up making a lot of friends that year and even more in my senior year as I got to know everyone. Overall a good school to go to. GO RAIDERS

I just graduated from here There are great academics here, at least for honors/AP kids- the Regular…read moretrack is mediocre. It helps that the school is so small, so classes are a bit more cozy and personalized. There are lots of active extracurriculars in a variety of fields, including some (not sports) which regularly make it to State competitions. It is a bit clique-filled, but if you went to Glencrest (as 95% of the population here did) it shouldn't be a problem, as you'll have found a group to talk to already. Even if that isn't the case, it's not that difficult to fit in with a little effort, as the many extracurriculars can help you find people with similar interests. One star off for the administration- they started off not so bad, but now they're cracking down on harmless senior pranks, eliminating traditions because there's the slightest hint of danger, and pushing kids into AP classes they aren't prepared for and not letting them drop the classes when there's a problem. The missing star's also because the college advising is mediocre at best- if you want to go to U of I or COD, you're set. If you're interested in other state schools, or a few nearby privates, they can help. Otherwise, the counselors are clueless. Overall, though, this place was a great fit for me.

I am a resident of Addison IL and has been for 6 years now. I have children in both elementary and…read moremiddle school and Fullerton Elementary is by far the WORST! school within the district. My children always come home and report how their day went and I would always hear unacceptable statements and responses from multiple staff members including substitute teachers. The principle Carrie Stange has a very rude, nonchalant attitude when it comes to my children (African American) Example: my daughter comes home and tells me she had a sub for her class today and that the sub told the kids in the classroom that (quote) " that's why Donald Trump doesn't like black people" so I call Fullerton to discuss the matter with the principle and she stated " the sub wasn't speaking about Black people that in fact she was speaking about Mexicans and that she is also a mexican" bottom line Dr. Stange is a principle whom is supposed to uphold her position with enough respect to not allow any form of discrimination within her school. I must say I am one happy parent that she has been back demoted to the director of education. I don't believe she deserves any higher authority than such, and with the nonchalant attitude I wish her the best of luck on her not so new journey maybe she will get it right this next go round. Good riddance!

They go above and beyond to make the child feel comfortable, teach relevant material, demonstrate science experiments, nature walks with kids and countless productive/fun projects. While the children may be advancing academically, they are also taught to develop as a person and become leaders, be respectful, compassionate, develop good character, friendly through various community building exercises. A lot of success is also credited to Thought leadership, Management and friendly staff who encourages a freedom and responsibility culture where everyone(Teachers, Students) thrive.
