Prices for OSU gear are INSANELY HIGH. There doesn't seem to be anywhere in town for logo wear so they have a monopoly on Beaver wear. Costco didn't have anything at drop off so we were left to search thru items here. Even the basic t shirts are $15. If you want an item that is Nike you'll pay between $70-120 for a shirt or hoodie. For those prices you should earn college credit!!! They have some changing rooms to try on clothing- which was absolutely vital to be sure items fit before buying them. They had a few couches which we kinda took over with trying to find the right sizes and take some breaks after walking all around campus. The women's side was disappointing because they had so many damn crop tops. Not everyone who is a woman is college aged and wants half of a shirt or sweatshirt. There seemed to be similar items and themes. It would have been nice to change things up a bit and have different things on T shirts and sweatshirts. We wanted to show support of our Beaver but didn't expect to drop so much damn money. Don't come to this store expecting good deals. Make sure you have a spare kidney when you checkout!!! read more

I want to like this place, but I just can't. Their prices are absolutely crazy, to the point that you can use eBay to buy the same exact items in better shape for less than they are asking in their store. The selection is not horrible, but the prices ruin it. The other problem is that they are never actually open when you are in the area and consider popping in. Overall this store is a waste of time and not worth the hassle of finding a parking spot to visit. read more

I live in a house divided. Two Beaver fans and two Duck fans. Since we didn't bring the boys to watch the game, I decided to buy my youngest Beaver fan some gear at the bookstore. The store is located in the heart of campus on two levels in the Memorial Union. They had every conceivable type of Beaver wear (clothes) and ware (bar) and several game day specials. The staff was efficient and prepared for the rush so the transaction was handled quickly. They had several TVs throughout the store tuned to other Pac 10 games, so I was able to surreptitiously root for my team (quack!) in the heart of Beaver nation. I really enjoyed touring the campus and wouldn't be too surprised if I'm back to pick up a Beaver Mom bumper sticker in about 10 years. read more

The place is garbage... They mark everything up at LEAST 300% (no joke, one of the employees said that some sweats cost them $6 and they sold them for $42). Not only is it a ripoff, but the manager, I think his name is Ben or Bradon or something, is a total douche. My favorite thing is that they advertise it as almost "charity" for the students when they are RAPING us on book prices. PLEASE don't buy their apparel, it is just fueling the fire... Really disappointed in the service at the OSU Beaver Store. My mom bought an OSU backpack for my daughter (she wanted it - go Beavs!) this year and the zipper pull came off after light use (she's 9 and is hardly dragging it through the mud!) and the stitching is coming undone. My mom went to exchange it for one that was hopefully not defective and first got the run around and then was told that she was past the date in which their policy allows for exchanges (by 4 days!). Their solution? My mom got a "50% off your next purchase" coupon. Yeah, so she can buy more crappy, marked-up products? Ha! Note to the OSU Beaver Store: if you sell your items at a premium, make sure to buy premium products prior to putting your logo on them. Or at least have the common sense to have good relationships with your suppliers so that you can return defective products. Friends, you've been warned... read more

I love the selection at the Beaver store . . . but seriously wish that the students who work there would go through even rudimentary customer service training. Went in to buy a USB Key ~ and when I asked for help, the conversation went like this: Me: Can you tell me where the USB keys are? Beaver Store Employee (BS Employee): Huh? Me: I'm looking for a USB key. BS Employee: What? Me: You stick it into the USB port of a computer, so that you can save files? BS Employee: Oh. Over there. Great spot to get your game day swag. They have all things Beaver Nation. Need a baseball cap...they got it. Jersey...yep. Gloves with Benny on them...of course. Need a leather chair embroidered...got that too. Just remember to bring mom or dad's credit card. read more

I ordered a textbook and asked for two day shipping (I'm a two hour drive from the Corvallis campus) and my book came the next week. And they sent the WRONG one. I called many times and no one answered until my fifth attempt. They promised me over night shipping for the correct book; it's been four days and still no book. I'm missing class assignments for something that wasn't my fault. read more

A totally fun place to shop for any and every kind of Oregon State Beaver gear you can think of. The prices are very comparable to other stores I have shopped - but no one has this selection. Do yourself a big favor if you need merchandise with Oregon State on it - shop here! read more

When you're needing some orange & black attire for some special rooting or a certain big time fan and tailgater, this place will fit the...no, I'd better not use that word here! You know what I mean, right? Anyway... you'll find that hat, temp tatoo or potholder here. And then some. This said, if you're looking for a real bargain and have time to do laundry before the game, maybe head down to one of the many thrift shops in town. There are game day specials, but invariable my eye is drawn to a pricey item in lieu of the shirt du jour. And you will find something snazzy here, to be sure. Books can likely be found for less elsewhere; yet quite nicely, the website includes outside vendors to compare. This is an OSU non-profit but not exactly a place for the slimmest of wallets, as I've now eluded to enough to more than make the point. OSU is an excellent university and the campus is lovely, lovely! Go BEAVS! read more

The OSU Beaverstore may have some "up there" prices, but the overall environment is very inviting and friendly (especially the staff). From my own experience, wait until there are good sales to buy clothing and either get in early to get books (used copies run out fast) or come in after the return date has past (because a lot of people return their books). read more
