I sat in the waiting room while at least three people who arrived after me went ahead of me. Dr. Christian then rushed me in and out in less than two minutes once he saw me -- yes, literally two minutes. He was motioning toward the door for us to head out as though he had no patience for my questions. He didn't bother to talk about the X-rays that I'm sure they'll bill me for. As I left, I saw that the waiting room was chock-full of people, which explained to me that this place is nothing more than a bone factory designed to bill the insurance industrial complex for all its worth. Meanwhile, my foot still hurts like hell. I'm going to find another doctor and will most likely cancel my December 2025 appointment. Sorry -- I don't ask for much, but I'm just not used to this crappy level of care. If you are, more power to you. However, there are plenty of lower-key, more personal-touch orthopedists in York County who actually care about patient recovery. read more

I cannot speak highly enough for the rehab team and surgical staff here. It is very convenient to use this place as a "one stop shop" as far as getting an operation and then following it up with the rehabilitation only a few steps away. My experience with Dr Todd Curran as my surgeon and Dave Heiland as my PT went very smooth and both showed tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm for what they do. However, when I was a patient getting my rehab done here I got a chance to meet more of the staff in the PT department. I went to OSS Rehab on several different occasions for various injuries over the years. I did both water and land therapy. I always found the staff to be courteous, professional and very knowledgeable in working with my numerous injuries and rehabilitation from surgery. The physical therapist always took the time to listen to my goals. They asked about my life, hobbies, work, etc. It seemed like some of the things they had me doing as part of my therapy were specifically geared towards getting me back to my work and hobbies as fast as possible in a safe manor. The staff made physical therapy a much more enjoyable experience as they treated ne as an individual and not just another "one size fits all" client. I would highly recommend OSS Rehabilitation to anyone in need of those services. read more

I went there for physical therapy. The first day I had my evaluation and was given a couple tasks to do. The next day I came back and started doing my tasks and the physical therapist said don't push it if you're in pain take it a Little easier. The third day I went back and started doing the tasks and the Physical Therapy said you have to work through it. Really in one day I am prove that much that I had to work through the pain. It was bad enough I lost my insurance and I was in terrible pain and had to seek medical treatment. I came to OSS. EVERY time I had received service from OSS, I paid for my services in cash the VERY SAME day. It has been 5 months and I still receive calls and letters that I OWE. I have been back to this facility twice and have called twice/week since my services. I have been told they are working on figuring out the problem but see that I don't really owe. Can you imagine if it's this difficult to process services rendered and paid for by cash immediately, how utterly impossible it has to be for this billing department to process complex and complicated insurance billing. I am utterly embarrassed for this facility and I have been telling anybody/everybody I can to check their billing. I would not recommend this facility to anyone simply because you would be perpetuating the idea that they will employ any moron rather than an actual qualified person who is on unemployment because the person who is responsible for this facility wants to help out their friends and families with over-paid jobs that they are not qualified to be performing. read more

Had a great experience at Oss York. From start to finish these people treated me to friendly professional service. I would not go anywhere else for both land and water therapy. They have a large rehab friendly heated therapy pool which is dedicated to therapy use ( unlike some centers which share pool with exercise classes). On the not pool therapy part each patient has a team of three at all times. Helpers around the floor also gladly supply clean pillows and towels, even drinking water. I have been to enough physical therapy centers to have a comparison and now would not go anyplace else read more

Just had a really bed experience at OSS with my elderly mother. She fell and could not walk. I called an ambulance. When EMT's arrived, they told me that OSS cannot accommodate ambulances, so they placed her in my car so that I could take her. OSS Nurses helped to get her out of the car. We went in and x-rays were taken. We were told that she has a fracture that does not require surgery, but time for healing. Attending physician sent me home with her even though I told him that she CANNOT WALK!! So I guess their rehab hospital is really not a rehab hospital. Ended going to York Hospital with her to be admitted. York Hospital Physicians and Nurses could not believe the treatment that we received!! I would not suggest using OSS for elderly relatives or family. Terrible experience. read more

Poor experience. Erroneous billing continues after nearly one and a half years. We continue to get bills, and recently a collection notice. We were billed for "surgery"; however, the only action taken that day was the re-scheduling with a "specialist." We were told one would be in that day but none were. In fact, the specialist was not able to perform any surgery and we had to go to an experienced specialist in a large city. To date, we have made two physical visits and multiple phone calls to their billing dept., which doesn't respond to voice mail. I left a vm today at 8:15 a.m. and have not received a response.
