Got the chicken shawarma platter with a fatouch salad on the side and a piece of baklava and 2 bottles of water. When I first walked in, the 2 large skewers of chicken shawarma roasting looked awesome. But...I was so disappointed. The rice is Minute Rice I think. I could be wrong, but was flavorless. The chicken shawarma was really average and the fatoush salad was a big letdown. It had about 4 small pieces of chopped tomatoes which were very over ripe and spongy, a few pieces of cucumber which were fine. The lettuce is iceberg lettuce which I watched a guy take from a large pre packaged bag. Salad dressing was mediocre-nothing like I've ever had before. This is definitely "fast food" Mediterranean style. If you want a really fantastic shwarma, go to Shawarma corner just off of Highway 25, it's authentic and tastes fantastic. read more

Used to go in at least once a week to have chicken on the rocks. After the last few times we stopped making it a lunch favourite. We watched the chef sharpen his knife right before chickening the chicken on the rotisserie and not clean the blade before slicing the chicken. My husband and I get the chicken on the rocks and chicken shawarma from here about once or twice a month when we crave it. It's never as busy as the Osmow's in Streetsville where the line ups are always out the door but there are several people getting take out from here in the evenings. The food quality is a bit inconsistent, especially for their chicken on the rocks. Sometimes, we get a good portion of chicken and other times, we get a small handful of pieces. Same goes for their garlic sauce and hot sauce - some days there is a good amount and other days, there's not much. I guess it depends on who is working that day! The chicken shawarma is a bit more consistent in terms of quantity of ingredients and taste. Prices are comparable to other shawarma places and considering there aren't many good shawarma places nearby in Milton, this one is okay if you are in the area or live close to it. It just isn't my first choice - Lazeez on Britannia and Creditview in Mississauga or the Osmow's in Streetsville are much better in taste! I would highly recommend going to those two places over this one if you have time and are willing to drive to Missisauga. read more

Just went in today to order what has been great Shawarma and walked right out. I noticed one of the food prep'ers was handing change out to customers and not washing their hands before handling food, food serving utensils and food containers. Concerned I asked who I thought was a supervisor why the server wasn't washing her hands after handling money. She shrugged me off and even after I told her I was going leave still didn't seem to care about my concern. On the way out I noticed the hand washing area was jammed with other items and had the appearance it wasn't being used. I don't know about you but I'm not going to risk my health with such a cavalier practice to handling food allowing germs to be spread. The food was terrible, portions were small, and service was slow. I ordered two shawarma on ice (same as On the Rocks except sub the rice for salad). I was not impressed at all. Food did not taste as good as I was hoping and the portions were so small compared to other shawarma spots. I usually get this order as well as other menu items from Pita Nutso at Bronte & Derry and I have never had an issue. On top of that, from Pita Nutso, I can only finish half of the platter I ordered because the size is enormous. Same order from Osmow's, and the size was nowhere near as large and was consumed entirely (despite my displeasure). Basically the same as others have said. Food: good. Service: bad. Ordered a regular beef shwarma with extra garlic sauce (which they charge for), and it was delicious, and a good size to boot. Unique taste too; best way I can describe it is like a Big Mac meets Shwarma, and I mean that in a good way. Downside was waiting 18 minutes. For a shwarma. Granted it was busy, but in those scenarios you have to up your customer service, and explain that there might be a delay before the order is placed. It was especially aggravating to watch people who had ordered after me get their order before mine due to disorganization behind the counter. Would I go again? Maybe, but only if it were fairly empty. Update: Have had it two or three times more since this incident. Service remains lousy and food quality seems to have gone down too. The food is fantastic. If you're using the taste/quality of the food at the original location in Streetsville as a comparison, it's very similar. The obvious difference at this location is the service. It feels like nobody (with the exception of a few regulars) want to be there! I always call and order ahead of time.. my name is 3 letters long and they almost always get it wrong. I don't care about this type of thing generally, but when I'm giving you the 3 letter abbreviation of my name.. and you get it wrong, it is just because of complete lack of caring. I would still absolutely recommend Osmow's for takeout and hope they find some great front staff to bring them up to a 5* The gentleman who prepares the shawarmas is always warm and welcoming! read more

I dowloaded yelp specifically to write about this osmows because it was so bad. I've been to every other osmows location and am very disappointed with this particular one. The portions are much smaller, the service is lacking, and I leave everytime feeling ripped off. My friend has serious dairy allergy, and this location happens to use a non dairy garlic sauce, but even after mentioning the allergy we saw the guy preparing the food use the same tongs to fill the shwarma as he used to scoop the feta for the next salad. I can let the small portion sizes go, I have spent many years working in restaurants and cross contamination when there is a know allergy is just careless and dangerous to a repeat customer that always hopes it will get better. read more

Hooray for National Shawarma day! However, that is the only good part of the review. Keep in mind there are only 4 options that are available for the promo. In THEORY, they have a great system setup to handle the high volume. Sequential ticket numbers. 2 numbers behind me get their order and I follow up with my order, perhaps they ordered something outside the promo. Anther 2 more numbers behind me get called and have to inquire again. Next they call out a number that has already been served, so the employee goes back inside with the food. Another number gets called behind mind, now I'm growing impatient and rightfully so. Finally, I get my order after getting skipped 5 times, I'm going to assume they gave my order away to the one of the first 5 and mixed it up. Here is the cherry on top! If you had shawarma before, you know you can choose different toppings in your wrap and I'm one of the odd few that like olives, got home and found out they fked up my order! My husband picked up a shawarma wrap and a kebob dinner. Shawarma wrap was for me. He asked for specific toppings. Which we got. However, when I bit into it, all I tasted was FIRE! There was so much damn hot sauce, when the hubby specifically asked for MEDIUM. and trust me, I can take spice! but this was just ridiculous. Not to mention the hot sauce did not taste good. it was just a VERY strong dry spice. Also, there was NO tahini in the wrap. It was by far the DRIEST shawarma wrap I have ever had. Simply disgusting. I was not able to finish it. I will never go back. I'd rather drive back to mississauga and eat at isis grill or lazeez. Much more appetizing. Asked to make one of the sandwiches slightly spicy, the guy overloaded it with some extra spicy hot sauce to the point where all I could taste was the damn heat from the hot sauce. I usually come here about 2 times a month for the chicken on the sticks but the last 2 times I have had terrible experiences the last time my fries were under cooked and this time I asked for a little spice with hot sauce on side and when I got home it was dripping with hot sauce. When I called to complain the "manager" told me that it was because I had added extra hot sauce when I got home and that's why it was dripping as well as the fact that there is a sign posted that warns the hot sauce is hot, even though I am regular and she knew that. This is easily one of the most disgusting meals I've ever had. We came in Sunday afternoon around 4 o'clock when the place wasn't busy and we were the only customers in there. We were 5 hungry people willing to order a lot. The service wasn't very enthusiastic to begin with. We didn't even care at that point because we were hungry. To make a long story short, whatever they call Shawarma, barely resembles shawarma, plus some weird dishes with weird inedible sauces, beef kebab tasted like someone already ate it before. I use to go to Osmow's in Streetsville all the time so I was very happy when this one in Milton opened up. (closer to me) I started going to Milton Osmow's soon after it opened and I've been disappointed time and time again. I really wanted things to workout and things to get better but it hasn't. - Food quality keeps getting worse. The meat seems barely cooked at times (sometimes it's clearly not fully cooked) and it's full of fat and cartilage. - The quantity of food (and garlic sauce) keeps going down. So you end up having to pay more. More for extra meat, more for garlic sauce. And most times it doesn't even seem like they are giving you extra of anything. (Which place really charges you more to put extra garlic sauce on your chicken?? On the side I can still understand, but just on the food??) - The flavours are bland, the chicken has no taste. So if you don't pay extra for garlic sauce, you're not getting much flavour. I'm assuming this is a franchise. The original really is going to suffer too if this franchise doesn't improve because the bad world spreads fast. Again, really was excited for this location opening but I'm very disappointed with the food. read more

Have been going here for a few years and saw the quality of food decline over time. I usually get the chicken on the rocks and compared to the Mississauga or downtown Toronto locations, it's like you're going to a different restaurant at those locations. The sauce tastes watered down and salty, the chicken pieces look cheap compared to other locations. There is also a metallic taste in the chicken, upon further inspection I saw that workers were not cleaning knives that are used to cut the chicken after they have sharpened them.
