These are some signs about some of the laws in Florida. Photo taken August 27, 2022.

This is the Osceola National Forest Rest Area for I-10 East. You may also see it named as the Baker County Rest Area as well. As the name implies, this rest area is located within the boundaries of the Osceola National Forest. When you come into the rest area, cars will go to the left while trucks go to the right. My visit here was on August 27, 2022. After traveling for a while, it was time to take a break to stretch the legs and use the restroom. When we got here, it was a little busier than my experiences at other rest areas I have stopped at along the trip. After getting that done, I took a but of time to explore the grounds a bit. You definitely feel like you're in a forest here. I like that they have informational signs about the park and such. They have a nice amount of open space to walk around, and most of it is covered by trees. They also have several covered picnic tables if you wanted to sit down for a bit and have a meal or a snack. It was very nice to just walk around and relax a bit. They have several vending options as well including food, drinks and even ice cream. I have only seen ice cream in a vending machine at rest areas in Florida. Overall, this was a very nice rest area. You can't go wrong when it's in a national forest too. The restrooms were well maintained and was an educational visit as well. If your travels take you this way along I-10 East, you should definitely take that break and stop in here.

This is Cleo approved for peeps and poopsies! I mean we are handling out of Jacksonville before she is looking for her favorite spot on I-10 for a little squat or squeeze. This rest area appears to be one of her favorite. As for pawrents, the bathrooms are clean and the facilities is well maintained with grass perfectly cut. Picnic area and plenty of parking for regular cars, RV's and big ol' 18 wheelers. See you on the flip side Osceola Rest area. We love out stops here.

    Beautiful day for driving

This was a nice rest area. I was able to rest in the rest area, which is what you want from an area where rest can be obtained. The quality of rest depends on you- but there's restrooms and vending machines and park-style benches: all key elements. It was clean and well Kept and felt safe. Would rest here again.

If you can describe a rest area as outstanding, this would definitely be an example. The interstate (I-10) cuts through the lower part of the Osceola National Forest so the rest area looks and feels like you are entering into a national forest with the signage and decor (although you cannot access the forest from this location). Perhaps because of the location, the maintenance always seems to be up to date. The cleanliness is always great, I've never seen this particular one dirty or messy. It has the usual separate car/truck parking and the typical vending machines, along with a dog walk area and picnic pavilions.

Nice, clean, safe rest area. Easy stop when traveling on I-10. Armed security patrols the area, so if you need to stop driving for a bit and take a nap, this is a good place to do it. Clean restrooms and they even have a family restroom where you can take your children or help a disabled person. A good variety of vending machines to choose from: Snacks, cold drinks, coffee, and even ice cream. There are picnic tables; although, this is a highly wooded area, so beware the mosquitos. Also a good place to take the pup for a walk. They also have some signs up telling of Florida's history. I feel that's a nice addition. I took the time to read them all. Gave me something to do while I was stretching my legs for a bit. Took away on star because, like Michael C. mentioned, cell reception is not all that great here. I had no signal the majority of the time here. Bummer.

Me and Apollo at work here at the Rest area!

I work for the company CARC who is contracted to do the general maintenance around the rest area. If any visitors have any issues while at this location please contact myself or the attendant on duty and we will fix whatever is needed. People who are traveling in Florida are usually on vacation or some other kind of trip to make memories and all of us have a part involved to make sure those memories pleasant ones.

If you're traveling east or west bound on I-10 through Florida you'll have an opportunity to use a facility that is well maintained which is always a welcoming sight after having a few large cups of coffee or drink of your choice. These rest areas are some of the better ones traveling across the state. The restroom were clean, there is security onsite, there is lots of posters explaining the history of the area as well as vending machines. Not a bad option if you find yourself with a need between exits actually it's a better option than some you'll find off an exit.

Horrible men's restroom smells. Nice pavilions but extremely limited parking spots available. A lot of I-10 travel info available here. I accomplished what I set out to do, stretching and peeing LOL

When you have to use the bathroom there is nothing more beautiful then a sign alerting you to an upcoming rest stop. You're doing your special ballet dance to the bathroom praying along the way that it's clean. Somehow you make it to the toilet without harm. You can finally look around. This place is not bad. Never can tell who works here or who maintains the site but this place is always clean. From the grass and picnic area to the rare payphones in the lobby. I say it's ghost - but I'm thankful.

Clean Rest Area with plenty of parking for large 18 wheelers, campers and cars. Handicap access ramps available. Dog walk area is designated. This rest area is off of I-10 and mile marker 318 located in the Osceola National Forest. Plenty of Shade in this rest area. Security guard on site. Custodians on site.

Never seen an ice cream vending machine? Now you have!

Clean enough. Bad phone reception. Good place to relieve yourself so you don't have to stop in Jacksonville or Lake City.

Today there were 29 spaces available, there are sensors embedded in the asphalt at each truck parking space that constantly updates this information so it's always been accurate and dependable. I did a short walk around the RV checking the tires, the tow-bar for the toad and other critical things before getting back on the road, I also took the short walk to the facilities to stretch my legs and found this rest area in tip top shape and saw several members of the staff working to keep it that way. This is definitely a rest area I'll return too in the future, it's all good here...

"Osceola" National Forest is a beautiful National Forest located in northeast Florida. The smallest…read moreof the National Forests, it is most famous for its hauntingly beautiful trees, it carries the weight of history hidden in its dense stands of longleaf pines and storied past. Approximately 200,000 acres of pine flatwoods and cypress-hardwood swamps beaming with tons of wildlife. Named after the Infamous Seminole warrior "Osceola" who was a American Indian leader during the second Seminole war, which began in 1835 when the US Zionist government forced the Seminole tribe off of their traditional God given lands in Florida for expanding white exploitation and settlement, forcing them to migrate into the Indian territories west of the Mississippi river. There were 3 horrific Seminole "wars" before the Civil war. Long story short, Under General Andrew Jackson, the US Military invaded the area here, burning to the ground the Indian villages and towns and at the same time, seized Spanish-held Pensacola. As a result, Spain was induced to cede its Florida territory under the terms of the Transcontinental treaty in 1819. Hence the City of 5 flags, as Pensacola was occupied by Spain, America, France, Britain & the Confederacy. The Indians fought hard thou using "Guerrilla war tactics" & withdrew into the Everglades. In October of 1837 "Osceola" went to St. Augustine with several Chiefs under a flag of truce to attend a parley with General T.S. Jesup. And as in typical fashion of our corrupt US Zionist Government, "Osceola" and the Chiefs, yep, all the bad Indians, were seized and imprisoned. "Osceola" was then taken to Ft. Moultrie at Charleston, South Carolina, where he later died. "Osceola" National Forest is not just a pretty park the US Zionist Government gave us for our amusement. It was the home of the Seminole. "Osceola" died trying to protect this beautiful forest he called home. Naming this Forest "Osceola" National Forest in his honor is just a ribbon of Victory for US Government theft. Bucket list worthy. Highest recommendations.
