It has been an interesting month in the gun world. I have been trying to get some optics for the entire month and kept running into 2-3 week shipping delays and quite possibly the worst customer services I've ever seen. I found Osage County Guns on an auction site and navigated to their website. I found what I was looking for and they have a law enforcement program that was a huge surprise. I placed my order, sent a copy of my photo ID and got a confirmation email right away. What really impressed me was the new email every time there was a change in my order, they let me know it was shipped, they let me know it was out for delivery and they let me know after it was delivered. It arrived in a timely fashion and I couldn't be more excited. In the future, I will be using Osage County Guns for all of my gun needs. read more

They have the knowledge to guide you towards making a good decision on your weapon purchase. Though I still haven't been to the range to shoot. I know I will return to purchase another weapon soon. Made an online order from these guys. Said product was in stock. They gave me a 5% discount for my first order from them even. I went through all the check out and received confirmation on my order. They even charged my credit card for the order. I guess at that point they decide it wasn't worth it to finish processing my order and could probably make more on the sale without the measly 5% coupon so they just cancelled the order. He told me to send photos, which I did. They refused to exchange the item for me and, instead, turned me over to their distributor. After two weeks I still have nothing but an expensive paper weight. Wow. I ordered a Sig Magazine Wednesday May 15 at noon, chose the inexpensive first class shipping. Received immediate e-mail to acknowledge order and another e-mail a couple hours later that it was shipped, with tracking. Friday May 17 got e-mail that it was out for delivery and it was here by dinnertime. St. Louis Missouri to western PA in two days. Reasonable price for the mag, too. This was absolutely the easiest process I've experienced in ordering a firearm on the internet. Ordered a SIG Sauer P220 Legion in 10MM. They had the best price by far, even beating the best deal that my on base Skeet Club could give me. Ordered on Saturday, emailed copies of my retired military ID and FFL. Within 10 minutes had confirmation all received satisfactorily. Received email updates all throughout the process until the firearm was delivered on base, today (2 July). If you're in the market for a firearm, at least give OCG a chance, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Now, I just have to wait for my FFL to unpack it, log it in and let me know I can pick it up. It's like Christmas in July! Very nice store! Went to buy a gun they had listed online. Price online was $1879.00 - listed in store for 1823.00. Refused to sell it to me for either of those prices (because that is police, active, and first responded pricing - but wasn't marked as such) - and told me I could use gunbroker.com's buy it now option which was 2100.00 and then pay a 35.00 transfer fee even though I was physically in the store and buying the item through them. Very nice facility, friendly staff and good communication. However I am not impressed with the way they squeeze a few more dollars out of a transaction. I won a handgun from a listing on gunbroker.com and since I live close by went to pick it up. They added a $35 "transfer fee" onto the price of the handgun. I understand transfer fees when you are having a gun shipped to a dealer, but this was in stock, being purchased from them... If you are not happy with the prices you are getting on gunbroker add a reserve price or a minimum bid, don't try to add on "fees" to make up the difference especially when I am coming to pick it up and you don't have to ship it. Excellent example of making a good sale off a customer, one time and one time only since I never plan on going back. For what it's worth, their listings do say "may be subject to a transfer fee" in the fine print. read more

I walked into this place with money in my pocket to buy a fairly expensive gun. I had looked on their internet site before i drove up there to make sure they had the one I wanted. When I found the gun in the display case, i saw the price was 200 dollars more than it had been listed on their website. I told the guy behind the counter that I wanted to buy the gun, but I thought the price was what they advertised on their website. The guy told me the gun cost more in the store because he had to provide "all that customer service" so i said, i might understand 20 dollars more or something, but not 200. You would have thought i called his mother a really foul word or something. He blew his top-saying people expected him to do all these things for them for nothing-so i asked him if he thought him handing the pistol to me was overly burdensome worthy of an extra 200 dollars? That didn't improve his mood. Now I know you probably think there has to be more to the story for this to happen the way I've described, but I've told the honest to god truth here. I wasnt snotty, or rude or anything! When I asked him about the difference in price, i did it in the nicest way possible. I drove an hour to get there and i really wanted that gun, so i did my best to be agreeable--until he blew up-then i didnt try anymore. I see all these good reviews about this place when people order online from them, but believe me dealing with them in person is quite different. I never once raised my voice to that psyco, and I didn't even hardly say another word to him other than just what I've described, but that guy screamed at me like i had hurt his child or something. read more
