Dr.Echols, is a Amazing Dr, I went in for a consultation I felt a snap in my arm hurt so bad he…read moretook x-rays and told me that I had a biceps tendon rupture along with rotator cuff tears and I needed surgery with that kind of news You wanna cry but he has such a positive attitude and upbeat personality that you feel comfortable and you want the pain to stop it snapped 2x all I did was reach for something so I searched the internet looking for a Surgeon with good reviews and feel him / her out myself as reviews are other people's opinion Florida orthopedics on Lakewood Drive I have had two doctors perform different surgeries on me, and after Dr.Echols gave me the News he must of saw the look on my face As he knew, I was not happy about. He asked How did I manage to rupture a bicep tendon like he said it's not like you're into sports like a baseball pitcher or weight lifter That's more likely when you would see that type of injury Rotator cuff's are common but he somehow he changed my mood maybe I felt a I was in the hands of another Awesome Dr. With a great sense of Humor can't explain but I was ok He said let's go and look and see these injuries as you can't go more than a certain amount of days or there's a chance the Dr. Cannot fix it So he scheduled for surgery ASAP. I had surgery done. He explained to me that there was a little bit left and they put a button in and I had read up on that Drs, use buttons for a much stronger hold Drs. put that in for athletes or weightlifter's but he put it in me because I had very little tendon left. Can't say enough about him. I recovered very quickly. I am having issues with my elbow. I need to see him when I fell,if my elbow is in a certain position for more than 10 minutes I literally have to lift my arm I made a full recovery from his Surgery Now need him to tell me hopefully my Elbow is just a sprain I did hit the pavement hard But I will only go to Florida Orthopedic 's in Brandon on Lakewood Dr. I can only imagine the look on his face when he sees me walk in he has such a good personality he's so upbeat I've been treated by two incredible surgeons at Florida Orthopedics, and Brandon. I could not possibly go any place else and feel as comfortable as they make me feel even though the news may not be what I wanted to be they have a way in this goes for Dr. Loewy my foot Dr that's how I heard about Dr.Loewy neither Dr. let me down they gave me hope, and they gave me some confidence of my As I'm sure they give you every patient 100% percent I am Thankful to Both Drs. I have never been in such a huge facility with a system and everything you need to live your life again That is Team work from each Dr. Having their own staff so organized and pleasant and you can call and if they don't answer just leave a message they always called me back the Same Day.Thank you Dr Echols see you soon...hopefully it will be good News!

BONE DEATH, JOB LOSS & DISABILITY - My Experience with Dr. Richard Cain…read more I wish I could give zero stars. My experience with Dr. Richard Cain at BayCare Orthopedic Institute has left me permanently disabled and struggling to take care of my family. I first saw him in March 2025 with an MRI showing a subchondral insufficiency fracture in my left knee. He put me on 6 weeks of non-weight bearing, then told me to walk again with an offloader brace that didn't help at all. Despite my severe pain and repeated requests for updated imaging, he refused and instead pushed ahead with surgery. On May 5, 2025, he performed a subchondroplasty using an MRI that was already nearly 3 months old. After surgery, my pain only got worse. At follow-up visits in May and July, I begged him for help and asked again for another MRI. He brushed me off, saying, "Sometimes you'll still have pain after surgery," and offered no pain management. By July, I was in so much pain that I booked an emergency appointment. Only then did he finally order an MRI -- and even admitted he had never reviewed a post-op subchondroplasty MRI before. That MRI (July 24, 2025) showed the fracture had grown larger and now there was bone necrosis (bone death). At my August 1 visit, he promised to call me personally after consulting a colleague but never did. I had to chase him down through the patient portal just to get a referral a week later. Because of Dr. Cain's negligence, I've been wheelchair-bound for months, unable to properly care for my 3-year-old toddler, and at serious risk of losing my job as I've exhausted FMLA benefits, and my job has let me know they will let me go if I need more time off for additional surgeries and recovery. My condition has progressed to bone death, and I feel completely abandoned as his patient. I went to Dr. Cain expecting for my condition to improve, and instead, it drastically declined. I strongly believe Dr. Cain should not be allowed to operate on anyone else, and I definitely cannot recommend him for any and all orthopedic needs, especially with anything to do with knee issues. I write this as I sit from my wheelchair, and I used to be a very active person. Do what you will this review, but please reconsider and stay away from this orthopedic practice, especially Dr. Cain.

I love that this is a smaller office. I hardly ever have to wait when I come in and generally there…read moreis only one other person. The staff is all extremely nice and helpful. Waiting for Dr. Cooper doesn't take long either. I get really impatient with the offices that have appointments but then you wait around for a hour to just get to a room. Not here. Each visit is quick, to the point and informational but he also makes sure I understand everything before leaving.
