My husband and I accidentally let our yard get out of control in regards to weeds. Our backyard…read morebecame a total jungle of them. We also had a large dead bush in our front yard that needed to be removed, our landscaping was growing onto the sidewalk, and the weeds were beginning to invade there, as well. We got several quotes for the large haul weed removal and Nick was the lowest and most reasonable by far. He worked with us on ways to keep the cost down but still get the end result we wanted. In the end he did an amazing job removing every single weed and dead plant, sprucing up our trees and edging our lawn. We wound up hiring him to plant a few additional flowers in our front yard as well, and not only did he do that with as much care and planning as he possibly could, but when an irrigation line wound up getting nicked in the process, he came back and fixed it the very next day with no fuss or extra charge. We really appreciate the work he did and also that he just seems like a really nice guy. Thanks, Nick!

He came out and gave us a fair rate for the initial and recurring visits. He started the work right away and his attention to detail and years of experience really shows. We love looking out our window now to a nice, manicured yard instead of overflowing weeds and overgrown plants. Nick is our go-to person for landscaping!

Unreliable and Overpriced - Avoid Mariano's Landscape…read more I hired Mariano's Landscape (based in Moreno Valley) in December 2024 to landscape my backyard. From the start, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Their services are expensive, and I expected quality work. Unfortunately, that's not what I received. The owner, Gabriel Mariano, planted diseased trees and assured me they would recover in warmer weather or be replaced. Months later--after numerous phone calls and site visits--nothing has been done. Communication has been all talk, with no follow-through. The concrete patio was another major issue. It was poured with a weak sand-and-cement mix that lacked any gravel or aggregate. I raised concerns, and they promised a quality control inspection would visit the job-site. No one ever came and Gabriel could not provide the name or license number of the concrete subcontractor they used. Bottom line: once they're paid, they disappear. They don't stand behind their work or resolve problems. I do not recommend Mariano's Landscape. The pictures speak for themselves.

When the sprinklers went on the next day I had a geyser from the broken sprinkler. I called the company and asked that they repair the damage. First he called me back and said that the worker denied breaking it. Then said they would fix it anyway. 2 weeks later (during a heat wave) unable to run part of my sprinklers I had to hire someone else who fixed it in 10 minutes. I supplied the parts at a cost of $10.00 and later got a bill from Sweet Home for the entire bill for service the month before and marked "Overdue". How dare they! Most of the bushes they were to trim were not even touched. I would never use them again! Leo just called me and threatened to break the windows in my house if I do not take down this review. He did a fabulous job, even though I was unable to get my daughter's husky away from her favourite spot. He worked so hard and it looked amazing after. He showed up the first time after to mow. Since then he has been a no show in spite of repeated texts. He answered once to say he was too sick to come. The second time he said he had reversed his route and would be there later and never showed. It took multiple messages each time to get a response. If there is a reason he does not want our business I would expect the courtesy of a message rather than no shows. I wanted so badly to leave him a good review because his work was so good and very reasonably priced, and he is such a nice man, but the lack of communication and lack of reliability are a problem for me.
