I would have loved to give Kyle an excellent review. When I first contacted him he was extremely responsive and showed up right away to take down a very overgrown yard. He did a fabulous job, even though I was unable to get my daughter's husky away from her favourite spot. He worked so hard and it looked amazing after. He showed up the first time after to mow. Since then he has been a no show in spite of repeated texts. He answered once to say he was too sick to come. The second time he said he had reversed his route and would be there later and never showed. It took multiple messages each time to get a response. If there is a reason he does not want our business I would expect the courtesy of a message rather than no shows. I wanted so badly to leave him a good review because his work was so good and very reasonably priced, and he is such a nice man, but the lack of communication and lack of reliability are a problem for me. read more

I live in Corona, so here is my reasoning for the two star rating. I am the type of person that does not write reviews, as I am very particular when it comes to doing business with someone. I also give everyone a fair chance as I am reasonable and allow for mistakes, delays, absences, inability to perform lawn services because of unforeseen incidents, weather delays, etc. So when I located Lawn & Yard Care By Kyle a while back, Kyle was more than helpful and willing to work on our yard. When I hired Kyle roughly about five or six years ago, his prices were fair and reasonable, and also Kyle came across as a hard-working person. Kyle also mentioned that he enjoys the landscaping business, so I gave him a chance. His services were excellent at first. Kyle was on time, conducted himself professionally, and got the job done. But in the past four years, his services have declined, response times could have been better, he is suspicious of his intentions, needs more professionalism, and his conduct needs to be more trustworthy. What I mean is Kyle rarely, if at all, ever responded to voicemails or text messages, or when he did show up for the lawn service care, he advised or promised that he would be back the following week for lawn care or other requests but never showed up. I paid Kyle for weekly lawn care. Kyle's monthly bookkeeping payment methods could be better at best. I overpaid Kyle for service in the middle or towards the end of 2022 through my banking bill pay, but he mentioned that he never received my payment after following up with him after three or four weeks passing, so I paid him a second time through Zelle. Kyle did receive the payment the second time, but after five or six weeks passing, I noticed after checking my bank statements that Kyle had received my payment through the bank bill pay, which he had cashed and had lied to me about not receiving. In the end, my bank got involved and reached out to Kyle, and eventually, Kyle cleared up the payment issue with my bank. After that, I was lucky if Kyle even showed up for lawn service as I still employed him for lawn service. I gave Kyle every opportunity to explain his unforeseen and questionable work schedule and the chance to fix or change his schedule with me. Kyle still owes me lawn services from 2022, which he never followed through with or completed. In the end, Kyle has become unreliable and undependable, as he has never returned any voicemails or text messages for most of 2021 or 2022. I can understand to an extent being sick or unable to show up on the day of lawn service care due to unforeseen last-minute appointments, but it would have been nice if Kyle had reached out and informed me that he would be unable to show up for lawn care service. Kyle has never contacted me to try and make things right or salvage the business relationship. The unsatisfactory and poor service I received over the past three years no one should have to experience. First impressions and professionalism mean everything to me. read more

Very nice guy and worked hard WHEN he showed up. Unfortunately for me, he is not dependable and he has no follow through. He no-showed as often as he showed for the short time he was with me. I haven't heard from him for weeks. Before he disappeared for the final time we had what I thought was a nice talk about him showing up and doing what he said he was going to do. He showed one time after that and then vanished again. I feel like a sucker too. I overpaid and overtipped him because I thought I had the right guy after the first couple of weeks. I was wrong. Called Kyle this past Thursday morning and made arrangements to have him replace three irrigation valves on Saturday afternoon. He came at one and was basically done in about 30 minutes (took longer to wait for the glue to dry than for him to do the labor). While we waited he took a look around the rest of my yard and we found some more work for him to do and he gave me a reasonable quote. The cost was reasonable at $50 per valve...more than worth the time and headache it would have cost me. Overall Kyle was quick, worked clean and was very nice. I discovered I had a major leak in one of my sprinkler valves, so off I go to Yelp to find a service person. I got 2 replies, one of which was Kyle. Kyle actually came over the same day and not only fixed the leak, but went ahead and fixed some other sprinklers that were broken. He went WAY above and beyond! I'll admit I'm REALLY new to taking care of my lawn myself and so my poor sprinklers were BURIED in grass and dirt! Kyle dug them out checked for cracks/leaks and replaced as needed. I highly recommend Kyle for any yard work needed. I had a sprinkler system leak and reached out to him for help. He responded immediately and was able to fix the leak ASAP. He even went above and beyond and did repairs on some items he noticed were in bad shape such as he found a sprinkler pipe with a hole in it and sprinkler heads that weren't working. I gave Kyle a call on a Monday for a very large project of clean up and hauling. He came by right away, when he said he would, and gave me a fair price. Him and his crew came a couple of days later, bright and early and finished the front and backyard in a day! Plus hauled away several large bags and furnishings. This was a massive project, and Kyle and his crew were personable, professional and extremely hard working. Highly recommend Kyle and his team. I was so impressed with how hard they worked, non-stop, to clear out our backyard which was covered in ivy. Our olive and citrus blobs were trimmed into beautiful, recognizable trees.
