The repairs were carried out promptly both times while I waited and a good job was made of the heels which had been worn down to the main part of the heel underneath the rubber part or whatever it should be called - anyway they were pretty far gone and I'm quite sure you shouldn't wait that long! With that satisfactorily accomplished I returned another time with other shoes and the repair was just as good, again costing about £5.00, but I haven't had the opportunity to test a more complicated cobbling requirement such as getting a zip mended or heel lowered.

I am disabled and depend on mobility scooter to get anywhere out of the house. My husband decided to get a spare key cutcut since we only had one. Unfortunately, he lost the the original on the way to the shop. He was really upset and went out searching for it coming home to search the house. He couldn't find it anywhere. Of course, the Kennedy Centre now has a Poundland store (whose seemingly inexorable rise and expansion is becoming something of a phenomenon) and a few other big names which, it is hoped, will bring footfall back to its former levels (I don't see that happening). Anyway, I haven't had any shoes repaired - I'm not sure how many people still get shoes repaired, although I know that women getting boots re-heeled is still a steady business - but I was in here to get a key cut. It was costing about £2.80 to get the key cut and, as the guy was cutting the key, I realised we'd be needing a few more keys in the coming months, so I asked him if he'd do four for a tenner, which he did. OK so it wasn't a huge saving, but I like places like that that will give you a bit of discount if you brassneck it. The keys were done in a matter of minutes and I was on my way. They weren't wrong about the 'speedy' bit.

More importantly, their always cheap. Getting keys cut in Belfast has became an expensive business but here its still very reasonable, a few quid per key. So to save my thrifty bake some pennies, I go here instead of staying local where if I get my key's cut, I'll be able to get into my house, but not stock its fridge or pay the bills. Walk in the door, look to your left and there's Timpson. This Timpson is absolute class offering a wide range of services including dry cleaning, key cutting, cobbling and even phone repairs. They offer on the spot key cutting, which is really handy and won't break the bank. The location is excellent with ATM's and on site parking you will be hard pressed to find a better service. The guys working at Timpson know their stuff too and are generally pretty amiable.
