The floral arrangements that she did where so nice that the brides' sister (a florist,) asked who the florist was. So with that being said I will NOT RECOMMEND Jeff's place to any of my clients. I have NEVER SEEN A PERSON WHO IS THIS UNPROFESSIONAL. She told my clients one thing and turned around and was doing things totally different. I seen my clients contract myself. The couple had the venue booked until 8:00 p.m. and then when 6:30 p.m. she was texting me telling me I need to come get my decorations before she locked them in the building. Keep in mind it was ONLY 6:47 P. M. So my assistant was already on the way over there anyway. So when my assistant arrived and he was outside taking down the arch she yells out the door to him telling him to come inside to get the decorations because she was ready to go now keep in mind ( HER CONTRACT WAS UNTIL 8 P.M.). So how was it getting to late to get the decorations . And the way she talk to people is absolutely disgusting and crazy. And she told my clients that the place can hold up to 150 and people and it does not hold that many people the grounds yes but the building hell no. Maybe 40 people comfortably and how I know is because me and my staff had to play tic tac with seating and placement. And then she has furniture in the way that CAN NOT BE MOVED. So why would you have furniture in the building that can not be moved or anything. So I say again don't do it please she is so unprofessional.

The property is enormous with a rustic barnyard ready to be the setting for your next special event. It's completely ideal for weddings, where the ceremony is in the grassy field under a giant tree and the reception in the barn area. Twinklelights brighten the room and transformed it into something magical. Dr. Grace, the owner of the property is super helpful and hospitable to those that come to enjoy the beauty of his venue. Anytime there is an event here, I always want to make sure I attend. There is nothing commercial about it and that is what make it so appealing. It's truly an authentic southern space that you will definitely fall in love with and keep in the back of your mind for your next special function. It's located in Plaquemine, LA (about 20 minutes outside of Baton Rouge).

My buddy came into a few tickets for a Music Festival Fund Raiser (?¿) Don't quote me on that but I…read moreswear that's what they told me the event was that evening. Alas, I digress.. The place is constructed of exclusively wood, exposed brick & old sheet metal. It had an immediate charm about it for sure and overall would be a great place for an event. We parked in the large lot on the same plot as the building. My first reaction to the place was how cool and aesthetically pleasing it is - especially for the little neighborhood it's in:/ They've got a relatively large, healthy lawn in the back with the the little bulb lights that everybody likes. There was also a stage out back but it wasn't being used when I was there. From the parking lot you take a few steps up to the floor level of the wrap around porch. As you actually enter the building you enter into the smaller of the two main chambers. There will be a bar to your immediate right and the larger, stage room to our left. Naturally there was a band playing in the larger, banquet style room. As mentioned it had a stage on the far end and also a bar with plenty of open space for seating/dancing/tom-foolery. On a quick side note, the bar had a quite expansive and modestly priced assortment of your typical offerings. I will say the bartender I had knew nothing about the local beer much less helpful wine and spirit suggestions - he was friendly though :) Another quick side note, the caterer, The Habana Club, was EXCELLENT and offered extremely delicious and authentic Cuban fare. DEFINTELY check them up if you're in the area and into that sort of thing. TL;DR Definitely worth using for a private party or trying to get into the next local event they're hosting.
