What I didn't really care for was the look. The interior looks dated like nothing has been replaced since the 80's. The walls are all white and could probably use some artwork or a coat of paint. The chandliers should be replaced too as they looked old. I like venues that appeal to the eye as much as anything else when going to a party/event. The Lyceum didn't catch my eye. The staff is really nice over there and they have plenty of booze for the events so yeah.

We didn't have an appointment but the manager just happened to be in and gave us a tour. What a fabulous space! I guess it's an old ballroom and while it was a bit grungy (can't fault them we dropped in unexpectedly), it's got such great architectural details. I hope this is where our party ends up.

The property is enormous with a rustic barnyard ready to be the setting for your next special event. It's completely ideal for weddings, where the ceremony is in the grassy field under a giant tree and the reception in the barn area. Twinklelights brighten the room and transformed it into something magical. Dr. Grace, the owner of the property is super helpful and hospitable to those that come to enjoy the beauty of his venue. Anytime there is an event here, I always want to make sure I attend. There is nothing commercial about it and that is what make it so appealing. It's truly an authentic southern space that you will definitely fall in love with and keep in the back of your mind for your next special function. We waited in line outside till the doors opened for the show then made our way in. The coolest part was realizing this was a record store! Lots of great finds in here. We managed to get up front for the show and loved every minute of it. The stage is sectioned with the front being nice and low to be nearly even with the guests then there's an elevated section. Great crowd, great acoustics. My husband and I loved it. Hopefully we'll have another chance to check it out soon!
