When they actually showed, they did decent work. They eliminated our pest problem. But any time we had an appointment, they wouldn't show. Then when they DID come by, they'd show up at a time we hadn't agreed upon. It was far more of a pain than necessary to actually get them to agree to appointment times. Cannot rate the job they do, because I never got that far. They have the rudest person ever answering their phones and answering questions. The person on the phone literally seemed to be annoyed that I was questioning the price and monthly contract. Do not say contract to her, it sets her off. No kidding. She was so rude I just told her to never mind setting up service. Name brand recognition does not mean quality customer service, at least in this case. Avoid! read more

They no showed the first appointment. I reluctantly rescheduled.... the guy showed and sprayed and 1 minutes later he was gone. None of what was explained on their website happened. Zero effort to locate the nest or seal off possible areas. A week later we still had a wasp issue. Called them to come back (which is guaranteed). They came when we weren't home and said he didn't see a wasp so treated for wood bees instead. The whole purpose we called was an infestation of Wasps in our back yard. They're still they're, Orkin didn't back their guarantee, and didn't refund. Customer service hasn't called back either. I'd stay far far away and save your money. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. The gentlemen who came out to do the first flea treatment at the house was very pleasant and I think he was trying to do a good job. The company does not stand behind their work at all. They tried to cancel the first appointment due to car trouble. When the fleas recurred they said we had to wait two weeks to do another treatment, then delayed further. There were repeated no-shows where my 92 year old mother waited in her home for a manager who never came. Meanwhile the fleas are worse than ever. read more

They came to my mothers house and sprayed for fleas once charged her 300 and then suckered her into a monthly spraying (she thought was for fleas, but it wasn't). What they sprayed didn't get rid of the fleas and they kept saying she didn't have them but she did...I would not recommend this business... read more

Whatever you do do not ever use Orkin. I arranged to have a single treatment to treat for roaches. The technician arrived and told me that they had told him that I was on some kind of 12 month contract with them now and it was locked in. I told him that's not what I asked for and he left without doing any service cuz he said he couldn't change it. 4 days later I got charged $105 when not only did I not want the contract I didn't get a treatment and was still charged. Then when I contacted them and try to arrange for a single service they told me it was going to cost me more than $200 for a single treatment. When I commented that first premier and other pest control companies in the area only costed 50 bucks the person I was talking to told me it's because Orkin uses better products than all the rest. I called First Premier and they use the same exact products as Orkin. Orkin is trying to rip you off for your money for the same service you can get with anybody else for a quarter of the cost. They are scammers and rip-offs I advise you never to use them. I miss the old days when Orkin was actually a reputable business I hope that people read this review so that nobody else gets ripped off and have their money stolen from them. When we purchased our home (2011) we had a termite inspection done as part of the purchase agreement since termites are prevalent in KY. The inspection came back clean no termite tunnels no damage wood nothing that would indicate termites had been active around the house. I had noted that there were stumps of trees within 20 feet of the home that had insect (termite, ant whatever) activity and wanted to be sure that we were not going to have issues in the future. These stumps were removed and the ground was treated. We subsequently signed a contract with Orkin for annual inspection, an initial treatment around the house, installation of 48 bait traps and annual service. After the initial start up inspection and service I was not satisfied with the conduct or service except for three occasions between 20111-2019. Every year, I had to contact Orkin for service and set up a date. They would send the bill for service 2-3 months in advance of the contract date and according to them, if I did not pay in advance they would not provide service. The second year I had made time to stay home for the inspection. I was in the kitchen when I saw the truck arrive. In the time that it took me to finish the dishes, get my coat and grab the keys and flashlight for an anticipated inspection of the crawl space (15 minutes) the individual, who turned out to be a sales person, informed me that the inspection service was only to spot check a few of the traps and do an outside surveillance of the property and that the 4 bait stations he had looked at appeared to be fine ( I did not that he did not have a tool for inspection on his person). My expectation was that there was to be an inspection, replacement of bait in all traps and a report from them that we had no termites or to inform us of other pests. This did not happen. And as I told my wife later that day, "If I had not been at the house, how would we even know they had been there to fullfill their (Orkin) part of the contract?". In the subsequent 7 year period, I had to schedule the visits, had to be present, had only 4 sessions of technicians coming for bait trap re-fill and had to schedule separate dates for the sales persons to come for the inspections, who, when they came on these separate scheduled visits tried to sell me other services that Orkin could provide. These sales persons inspected the premises for Termites (our original requested service) but never provided us with a report. I asked for a report specifically so I could have it for our records of having no insect activity. This report would be of benefit to myself as a home owner and to them as a service provider. None was ever provided. I only have receipts for the visits. I have had another service come this year and happily can report that we still have no activity and I do have a report. Please note that the technicians that came, did a great job, the two that were willing to talk to me about the service both stated that they were working excessive hours and the "inspectors" who did none of the bait station work were in effect sales persons. I support Orkin as a company and believe they have good product. But I would not use the Lexington service. read more

I paid Orkin $60 every month and at least twice I paid $120. They never took care of our problem. They only put out goop or traps. Neither do more then we're could do ourselves. read more
