BED BUGS EVERYWHERE! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!…read more There are inexpensive hotels with no frills but overall safe, and then there are itchy deathtraps. This is decidedly the latter. We itched all night and in the morning looked and sure enough- bedbugs! Talked to the hotel manager about this and he demanded proof, so I showed him the picture and he admitted they were bedbugs but said they were "just on the towels." We couldn't shower because it was covered in mold. And the bathroom smelled strongly of mildew and poo. When we asked about a refund, deciding to stay elsewhere, he said no refunds under any circumstances. DON'T BOOK HERE- IT WILL COST YOU DOUBLE SINCE YOU WILL ULTIMATELY DECIDE TO STAY ELSEWHERE. Service is terrible, rooms are nightmarish, the breakfast is stale croissants, and their luggage storage is just the front lobby with no one watching it for extended periods of time so your stuff could get stolen. Save yourself my headache and spend the extra couple dollars a night to stay elsewhere- IT JUST ISN'T WORTH IT!!

I was also told that my shower was in the public hallway. It was very uncomfortable and I did not enjoy my stay. The only positive is that the hotel is located close to the shuttle stop, just outside the city. It is a bit far from everything else. Don't bother with this hotel.

Wonderful hotel & spa in Jesolo Italy…read more Beautiful rooms, great service and incredible breakfast buffet. Our room had an ocean view, large patio and very comfortable bed. Spa access is included with a large hot tub and multiple steam/sauna rooms. There is an indoor/outdoor pool as well. Beach access with chairs and towels are provided. What a hidden gem. They cleaned the tile floor but left the carpet soaking wet for the remainder of our stay. They refused to give us another room. They promised to compensate with a couple free nights in the cheapest room, but then refused to respond to multiple queries. They even accused us of pouring the water on the floor ourselves, to get a discount. As the photos show, there was way too much water for that. That's why maintenance was called and came to the room 5 times during our weekend stay. We tried talking to the managers, Enzo and Monica, who were never available and do not answer customer requests over the weekend. In over 2 weeks since our stay, and with me calling 5 times, they have never called me back. It just shows how much these people care about customers. They will care even less when you book a normal room, I am sure. This hotel is a scam. The service level was so bad. Fake promises every time you connect. Guaranteed they will respond to this review with blaming us again too. Don't waste your money.

Window was blocked by a huge bush -- no light - Asked for another room - what they offered was just as bad. The private water taxi (100 Euros) was not worth the money to pull into the hotel - its not special at all. But if you don't do that and take the train, you'll have to take the vaporetto hauling your luggage to San Marco to catch the free shuttle to the hotel. No one would stay there if there wasn't a free shuttle. All the 5 star reviews are fake. Staff was snickering at us, food was bland and overpriced. New hires didn't even know how to make the simplest drinks or even pour a draft beer. The architecture does not reflect the naturalistic and architectural heritage as they describe. The building and common areas are old, cold and dirty. If the rooms are dirty - the spa is dirty and unsanitary. We were planning on spending a lot of money at the spa but passed. We already spent the money to get there and stay at this 2 star hotel - I felt in all good conscience NOT to spend any money at JW. We had a lovely day at a spa off San Marco Square. Don't eat at JW - unbelievable restaurants with tremendous food in Venice - especially the walking food tour with Marianna - Stay at a true 5-star hotel - NOT the JW MArriott

On Friday, 11/08/25, we realized that a small bag containing only our receipts, which had been sitting on the dresser by the mirror, was gone. Since it was only receipts, we did not think much of it at the time. The next day, Saturday, 11/09/25, the jewelry and gifts we had purchased in Murano also went missing. These included a thank you gift for my sister (red Murano glass earrings), a bracelet and earrings for our daughter, and a Murano glass bottle opener. All of the items were kept together in their jewelry boxes in a plastic bag on the dresser in front of the mirror. Altogether, the value was about €80. We discovered the items were missing on Sunday while packing and doing laundry and immediately reported it to the front desk on 11/09/25. We were told that both the front desk manager and general manager were off that day. Staff said they spoke with the cleaner assigned to our room, who denied taking anything. Since there are no cameras inside rooms, there was unfortunately no way for us or the hotel to verify what happened. When we checked out on Monday, 11/10/25, we spoke with the front desk manager. He was polite, apologetic, and tried to help. He refunded us $10 for the laundry coins we had purchased, but that did not come close to the value of the missing items. He suggested that perhaps the items had been mixed in with the blankets and thrown away accidentally, but we explained that everything had been sitting on the dresser, not in the bedding, and the items were heavy and in boxes. After returning home, I waited about a month to see if management would follow up or offer any additional resolution, but I never heard back. I am not someone who normally leaves negative reviews, but this was very disheartening, especially because we traveled to Venice for our wedding anniversary and had an otherwise wonderful stay. Unfortunately, this situation left a lasting negative impression on what could have been a perfect trip.
