I'm thinking it's a complete scam. When you try to ask Gary German any questions he responds with insults and name calling. What was once free he wants you to pay a "membership" fee for. I would not give this man your credit card number. No self-respecting business person would call their potential customers names for asking questions. Especially after they just failed to deliver on a business model. This company is data mining and hoping to make some quick cash. Do not fall for their tricks. There are plenty of credit cards that will waive the baggage fee for you. You have better luck signing up for one of those than this gimmick. read more

I have been getting emails from Orion after registering for their luggage program, which was very delayed as Dr W stated above. So I was leary when I received an email in September stating that they were rolling out a revised luggage program. Googling "Orion Travel Tech" yields no independent reviews, only sensationalized pr from the company's website and their own news releases. Back in Oct. 2015, this company widely advertised its $50 baggage fee program; a program in which travelers would get reimbursed for baggage fees by using luggage plastered with ads for various companies. Orion promised that people who signed up for the program would be contacted in November to choose the luggage and that the baggage program would begin in March of 2016. By December, I hadn't received any correspondence from the company. After scouring the site for info, I decided to go on its Facebook page and I saw that the company directed all commenters to Globetrotternation.com, their members-only site (RED FLAG #1). Also, none of the comments were negative, even though the company hadn't met any of the promises it made to begin the program by a certain date (RED FLAG # 2). Anyway, I eventually found a way to access the members-only site to learn that the baggage fee program was no longer being held because, supposedly, advertisers wanted to see if other aspects of the program would work out. This information isn't on the site nor on its FB page, only on the members-only site. (RED FLAG #3). So, I posted my disappointment about the program on the FB page and asked why the company would advertise a program that wasn't guaranteed to begin. This was the company response, verbatim: "Sorry it is not our fault...but to those who are making comments like yours we will keep close and when we start our program we will remember like the Alamo......" Unsurprisingly, the company doesn't allow public posts to the page so this correspondence didn't show up. Apparently, the company, rather than publicize that the program is experiencing trouble, has decided to only allow positive posts to the page and threaten customers that complain about its lack of organization and inability to meet its promises. This company is a total scam with a super unprofessional CEO. He wrote an email to me saying "ur pissing me off" he couldn't even write you're! And this is all because I am trying to get my money refunded because I did not get anything as advertised! I have to go through my credit card company to get my money back! Total scam. read more

I joined the program because the worst thing that could happen would be having two extra pieces of luggage for the money I spent. I joined the "lifetime" program and messaged Orion TravelTech about the first shipment. I was told a date that was AFTER my planned trip, so I said keep the money and I will inform you of my permanent address in a bout two months. Gary German agreed. Then he sent the luggage to my previous address where it was refused and returned. I informed him of my current address and was met with silence and delays. Finally, I reported Gary German to the BBB in Central Florida. He claimed that I his company did not receive the luggage back. I provided the BBB with tracking info that clearly shows the date, time and location of the return. Then, more silence. I did not get the luggage after all. He was in Florida. Now he's in Honolulu.
