Aka Rochester School of Music (they offer piano, voice, bass, drum and percussion lessons!)…read more My son has been taking drum lessons here for two years and WE LOVE IT. We also have several friends whose kids take guitar, piano, etc. The teachers are fantastic; really talented and dedicated. It's so wonderful that Joe (the owner) has opened this school and gives so many kids the opportunity to learn and fall in love with playing their instruments in such a fun environment. They are knowledgeable, helpful, supportive, friendly and they have lots of opportunities for performing. (Attaches photos of today's jam session at Main Street Billiards.) Students of ALL ages- highly recommend!

They told us that because she's in marching band the pads would need to be replaced every year. So, the 3rd year we decided to purchase insurance, which cost 125 dollars, up front for next year to cover the repairs needed. This year when we used our insurance that we paid for last year. All they did was re-align some minor parts and were able to return our instrument to us within a day. So, this feels like if you purchase the insurance ahead of time, they will do the minimum work on your instrument but if you have an open check book, they will sock it to you. Beware of Marshall Music. I won't ever go back, and I plan on telling everyone about my experience with their company

I think that learning music is very important so I try to have instruments around the house. I've purchased a few from Ardis Music but they have also helped me repair secondhand instruments that I pick up wherever. My children will be starting lessons there soon because the passion for music education at Ardis Music is obvious. I am writing this review today after a great experience when we went to have the strings set up on a cello we were given as a gift. I love music education but that doesn't mean I have any idea how to string a cello. But now I know how to tune it and how to use the bow thanks to a generous impromptu lesson at Ardis Music. My son is still singing C-G-D-A and we're just waiting for his sister to wake up from nap to try out the expertly stringed cello for real. They also have these really cool guitars turned into clocks that you'll want to check out. I'm thinking about getting one for my father-in-law because he loves clocks. Otherwise, he loves trains and sports so I'll have to determine if his love of clocks means guitar-clock is cool or not from his perspective. Worst case scenario: oops, I have my own awesome guitar clock now and I got to support my favorite music store (Ardis Music) and my local community with my dollars not just my mouth/keyboard.

Since then we have purchased a grand piano for our home and the entire experience was great. They have entry level digital pianos, artist quality grands and everything in between. Regarding the studios, there are many fine teachers on the staff who have excellent training and who are conscientious music educators. I have never heard of a teacher at Evola who was unreliable. Mr. Evola came out and took down model and serial number information, did a lot of research, and documented the market value for our insurance company. In fact we had unknowingly bought a good brand and model that actually appreciated significantly so we applied that value to purchase a new, grander piano. Evola's delivery and setup were excellent.
