JRC Landscape was recommended by a highly-regarded electrical firm for his outdoor lighting design…read more As we walked the property with Jon Cobb to consider the impact we could achieve with practical and well-designed lighting, we realized that he was exactly the resource we were looking for to help redesign our gardens as well. Jon and his team are amazing to work with, flexible, and they put customer service at an all-time high. Jon is a great communicator with his clients, possesses a designer's eye and imagination, a good contractor's knowledge of plant and ground materials, and created a relatively simple yet transformational design. Nothing was overdone or underdone - just right, yet the impact was immense and immediate. His big picture was awesome. Great value for the investment!

Princeton Lawn & Landscapes has been doing organic fertilizing on our residential lawn for a number…read moreof years. The lawn looks wonderful. The grass grows so well that it outcompetes the weeds, and even without herbicides, we don't have many weeds. We enjoy many hundreds of fireflies in the summer, since we are not poisoning the underground firefly larvae with insecticides. Princeton Lawn & Landscapes keeps us on a regular schedule, and the work is always done with high quality.

Fabulous - Tom responded to my inquiry immediately, a proposal was presented very quickly, and the…read morework began just a few days later. The crew worked nonstop for 3 days. Everyone was super friendly, responsive, and professional. My husband described the crew as working as if they were working on their own yard because they were taking such care. We will be using this service now on an ongoing basis, for weekly mowing, seasonal clean-up, pruning, etc., and for whatever else comes up! We live on a decent size lot, an acre, and the yard and beds, shrubs, etc., had not been maintained for a long time, prior owner made some bad selections, etc. So, this was a big job. Removed 10 ENORMOUS shrubs, installed dozens of new plants/trees, huge spring clean up, installed 21 cubic yards of mulch, weed preventative, created overall landscape design, relocated some existing shrubs, used existing field stones to create perimeter for beds. Plus, willing to go extra mile to do extras that I did not expect, like removing tree limbs that needed removal either because of pre-existing damage or for health of tree. Update: the original review was written about 18 months ago. We continue to use Princeton Lawn and Landscapes for all our lawn and landscape needs. We continue to be very happy and highly recommend them to everyone! Tom continues to go above and beyond to make sure we are happy with any of the work his team does for us.

We hired A Perfect Image, LLC (API, LLC) through Robert for a ground leveling, soil, and grass seed…read morejob quoted at $3,000. I gave the initial money directly to the company. After a $2,000 payment, we were charged an extra $3,500 for soil, bringing the total paid to $5,500. The owner brought in an associate to take over the project, claiming they miscalculated the needs by 100 cubic yards. We are now facing demands for an additional $2,200, bringing the total demand to $7,700 for a job originally locked in at $3,000. Once the money changed hands, the business completely checked out and refused to remain involved. The final results left behind are completely unacceptable and require a costly overhaul to fix. The grading is entirely wrong, causing water to pool directly toward the house foundation instead of draining safely. Furthermore, instead of the permanent lawn seed promised in our quote, cheap rye seed was planted. Throughout this process, there has been an absolute lack of accountability and highly unprofessional behavior on our property. Our agreement and initial payments were directly with this company, yet the owner refused to oversee the project or honor the quote, abandoning us to deal with his associate demanding more money. Homeowners, protect yourselves before hiring: Never give a down payment up front. Get absolutely everything in writing, including the exact total price, specific soil amounts, drainage requirements, and precise seed types. Make sure the entity you pay is the one doing the actual work. Demand proof of insurance and call the provider directly to confirm the policy is active before work begins and what it covers. Don't pay anything unless the job is 100% complete and satisfactory. We do not recommend this business.
