This is an essential stop if you find yourself in the Hot Springs area. My wife and I stumbled across Origami by chance when planning a weekend trip, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Our tour was incredibly informative, engaging, and immediately answered the question of why a sake brewery can be found in the middle of Arkansas. The expertise and passion of the Origami team is undeniable. After the brewery tour, we had the opportunity to sample a few selections (including their recently released lighter seltzer varities) - as a side note, a non-alcoholic sake option was also offered as an alternative. Beyond the wonderful aesethic of the architecture and landscaping (the first sign you've made a wise choice), I love the bottle designs. I liked sake when I visited Origami Sake, but I left loving sake after visiting Origami Sake. Who the heck knew that you could get amazing sake in the Ouachita Mountains of Hot Springs? Well, it's true and it's here. I visited Origami for a sake tasting, which you have to make a reservation for. I think you can visit Origami on the fly just to buy their product, because they have a gift shop. But if you want the full experience, you need to make a reservation. We tasted the White Lotus (creamy and milky-looking), and the Thousand Cranes (clear and bright). I can't even tell you which Origami Sake I liked better, because each had its own characteristics and subtleties that were amazing in their own right. Did you know: Arkansas is one of the top rice producing states in the United States. So, it makes sense that Origami Sake is here and using homegrown rice to make their amazing sake. How cool is it that you can get local sake in Hot Springs? I feel like that's a special gift from the Ozarks. read more

We stopped in for a tasting and absolutely loved this Sake! The new snow monkey seltzers are delicious! We learned these are the first Sake seltzers on the market! We enjoyed them at the Lake Ouachita Vista overlook! Great location, friendly staff and delicious Sake! I'd highly recommend stopping by Origami Sake! read more

Most of the Sake I've tried tasted like hot or cold gasoline. But Not Here. We tried 4 different Sakes that are made with Arkansas rice, Hot Springs water and Koji (?) yeast. They ranged from tasting like a fruity white wine to deep melon and I feel like The White Lotus had a tropical almost coconut (not sweet) taste. I recommend this tour and tasting even if you're put off by past Sakes. They are nothing alike. read more

This was the most fun I've had in Hot Springs in a long time and I have lots of fun in Hot Springs.

Walked in without an appointment which we learned was required. They were busy, but not too busy to give us an abbreviated tour. They have spared no expense. Looking forward to returning with a tour and tasting appt. read more

We booked the tour and you definitely need reservations. However the tour part was fascinating and the tasting was so much fun. Our guide, who is one of the main Brewers and like help found it. The brewery apparently only does tours for the public on Sundays so if you want a real personal invested tour guide, book it on Sunday. The saki was amazing. We actually got to taste it at several stages, including intermediate products that are not available on the market because they're pre-blend and we also get the opportunity to taste and purchase some of the experimental stuff that's going on because they do limited runs and bottle it and just sell it from, the brewery. Merchandise and logo is really cool. They give out stickers and there's jewelry and sweatshirts and all sorts of neat stuff. read more
