Two of my friends had never eaten Korean food before! I couldn't believe and went on a search to…read moretry to find the best place I could take them. Since I JUST moved to Brisbane, I had to rely on my fellow Yelpers. Thank you Yelpers for being there for me. I was also reassured when I walked in and it was ONLY Korean people customers. They only brought out 3 tiny dishes of sweet potato, pasta, and kimchi. I am used to a more varied selection of at least 6-8 mini dishes to start the meal off. The kimchi was fantastic though! I will give them that. I don't know if that's how they do here in Australia or just at this particular restaurant. Our meals came out in an appropriate amount of time. I ordered the Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap and it was pretty tasty. Not the best I have ever had but filled the craving. We also had the No. 22 with chicken and rice and spicy seafood soup. The ladies are now fans of Korean food! :) The water they served us was really nice and ice cold. The service will come to you if you need them but they won't really bother you. When you're ready to go, you just come to the counter and pay there. After going to eat here, my roommate and I discussed Korean food. She is a big fan and said that this is one of the top two places so yeah! Thanks Yelpers for making my first Korean experience in Australia a yelp worthy one.

I should start by saying that I was originally going to eat in the hotel lobby restaurant. Then,…read morewhen I decided to head out. I has somewhere else in mind. I am stoked that I ended up at Nom Nom! The beginning was a little rough. I'm not sure how I felt about the exchange with the lady that took my order. Let's just say I've had better service. I couldn't really decide on what to get; a couple of things caught my eye. In the end, I went with the spicy Korean wings. They took a while to get out, and the lady told me they would, but they were well worth the wait. They were tangy, messy, a little bit spicy (zip might be a better word) and delicious! The wings were gigantic. This is easily one of the fullest meals I've had in town. The wings reminded me of the fried wings you'd find in Korea. I'm sure that sounds like it would be obvious as the place was a Korean eatery, but not all places taste like the country they claim. These wings came with fries as well. The only thing I'd change, aside from the reception was probably less sour cream. A touch was nice, but there was a rather large glob of it and I had excess upon finishing the wings and fries. For anyone wanting to try, and you should, the wings are plenty to fill you up. I almost had to tap out.
