When her team arrived, they worked efficiently and, within just a few hours, transformed the condo--it was spotless. The difference was truly amazing. Thanks to Laura's great eye for design, our bathroom project is coming together with ease and I am so excited to see the finished product. She has a huge, wonderful selection of tile and takes her time with you to design the perfect space. Is she busy? Yes, she is. But when it's 'your turn', you have her complete attention and she takes care of every tiny detail. Before we met Laura, my husband and I went to Tile America and we were "all over the map" with what we liked. I was so frustrated because we couldn't pull it all together on our own. We consulted Laura, told her what we liked, and she brought out the most beautiful tile and stone for our bathroom project. It is going to be like a spa and so peaceful. Thank you, Laura! I will recommend you to anyone I know who is in need of your wonderful eye for design!!

I just finished my first and only time ever purchasing anything from Tile Designs by Laura. As I…read morewalked out the door, Laura called me an "asshole". In the summer my wife and I visited Laura's store to get ideas for an upcoming bathroom remodel we were planning. Laura asked us some questions and told us exactly how we should do the remodel. She was pushy and dismissive of our thoughts and ideas. Ultimately, we decided to pursue other options for obtaining our tile. Fast forward to this week and our construction is starting soon and our tile for our niche in the bathtub/shower is mismatched with the rest of the tile. Because of the short notice, I opted to return to Laura's store, where I had remembered seeing similar tile before. I explained to her that we were starting our remodel this week and that we weren't able to obtain the correct penny tile and asked if she could please help. As soon as I began explaining my situation, she remembered me from the previous visit in the summer. She immediately became rude, dismissive, and said, "you don't give me the job and now you want me to bail you out? I shouldn't help you". I apologized if that's how she felt, but I was asking for her help now. She reluctantly took the order, but wouldn't even confirm that she would submit it. The next day she called (without introducing herself) and simply said "your tile is ready". I immediately drove over to her store and when I went inside thanked her for her help. She proceeded to throw the tile on the countertop with such force that I was worried she may have broken it. She accepted my payment and repeated "I shouldn't have helped you" and then proceeded to walk back to her office. As I walked out of the store, she shouted loudly so I could hear, "THAT'S THE ASSHOLE WHO ONLY WANTED THE DECORATIVE TILE." No customer should have to be treated this way.

They called us back the next day; only 1 out of the 4 we called, who did. We met with them at their beautiful showroom on Mill Plain Road in Danbury. We discussed several of our ideas and Phyllis came out to measure later that week. Several discussions and suggestions later, we settled on a design and ordered cabinets. Phyllis put us in touch with a great contractor, Frank with Confident Homes. Phyllis also put us in contact with a Granite and Marble countertop place, as well as an Appliance store. They had great communication with our contractor and were very patient with timing and storing of our cabinet delivery due to supply issues of other materials post-covid. As with any older home we had a few adjustments to the design once construction began. My brother was in the process of renovating his kitchen at the same time in another state. It amazed me all of the things Phyllis, Bill and Frank took into consideration, that my brother's designers never even considered. We saved a good deal of headaches, frustration and money hiring Phyllis and Bill from Connecticut Kitchen and bath. And just look at the outcome! We couldn't happier.
