I had a wonderful time at Organic Headshots. This was my first time at the studio and I loved it. Big shoutout to my photographer Genevieve and my make up artist Jen. The studio is great and has got a nice vibe. Before I started the session, Genevieve and Jen sat down with me and went over what I was looking for and looked through my older headshots to see what changes I want which I found to be very helpful. They truly listen to what you want and need. As someone who usually doesn't wear a lot of makeup, having Jen do my hair and makeup was very helpful as she really knew what makeup would work best to get camera ready. She understood exactly what I was looking for and I was really happy with how it turned out. Hair styling was also a good touch to give a professional look. Jen was also there throughout the photo session and would retouch my makeup and fix my hair between shots . Genevieve did an awesome job with the photo session. As someone who is camera shy, sometimes posing in front of the camera is a little daunting to me. However, I really enjoyed the headshot session and felt so comfortable. Genevieve made it fun and coached me so well with various poses and smiles to get a variety of photos to choose from. The photos would also appear on a live screen simultaneously so that helped me to figure out what poses and angles I liked best. Organic Headshots also gives you all the photos so no stress on choosing a photo then which was nice. When I received the file with my photos I was very happy with it. I needed headshots done for a website and found out about Organic Headshots after a Metroboard event. Michelle was amazing to work with - great personality and made me feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera (not an easy feat). She also helped me choose the right outfit for my photo with a strategic grimace when I pulled a shiny orange shirt out of my garment bag. Okay blue shirt it is. I got the social media package which was super affordable and now I have awesome profile pics for my website, linked in, facebook and twitter pages. And if I ever remember the log in for that google plus account I created I'll have one for that too. I've had my fair share of headshots done in the past and the ones that Michelle did for me are by far my favorites! The actual shoot itself was comfortable and she is really sweet. She's very professional (always prompt at answering emails, questions, and I got a card in the mail afterwards too!) I had her retouch all my photos and it was WELL worth the small fee. Her fee in general is very reasonable as far as headshots go. I told her what kind of theater and shows I do and what I was planning on using the photos for and she knew exactly what kind of poses and colors and such to use. I liked that it was small, because the photographer (Michelle) and makeup artist/hairstylist (Angelica and Michelle I believe) were totally focused on me since I was the only client. Very personable, listened to what I wanted (a conservative photo), and changed makeup when I wasnt happy. They also let me preview the photos to make sure that I was happy with the look and had enough to choose from. I am picky (or discriminating?:) and after reviewing many headshot companies, I went with Michelle at Organic Headshots. It was seamless and fun, too. I'm happy with results; we tweaked it a few times to both of our satisfaction. The shoot itself was very efficient and 9 days later, I have my finished product. My biggest problem was selecting from the great array of photos I had. I did not use her makeup and hair person, as a disclaimer, so I can't speak to that. Finally, I have bad allergies, and I asked that the studio dog be put away and he was. The space is very clean, I had zero problems with my bad allergies. I did get to meet him and he's pretty cute. So Easy, Professional, and High Quality! It had been years since I had had professional photos taken for any purpose, and I had never gotten professional photos taken that I could use in my professional/career setting, ever. In large part, this was because I hate all photos of myself, and generally avoid being in front of a camera at all costs. Jeff and Megg took fantastic care of me, and really put me at ease. They even made me rethink my aversion to photo taking a little bit! Their expertise in everything from outfit, make-up, and background color combinations, to hairstyle, lighting, posing, and every other little detail was obvious, and it really reassured me that the results would be fantastic. Plus, puppy Charlie pretty much ensured that there would be no stress during my entire photo session. I'm pretty sure it's just not possible to be stressed out around him. The session booking process was super easy on the Organic Headshots website. Their policies on rescheduling (which I had to do once before my session) were really clear and easy to follow, as was the actual process of rescheduling right on the website. Their pricing was really clear, and there were no hidden fees or added costs anywhere (so rare in this day and age). The actual session was great. The studio had a pretty wide variety of backgrounds to choose from, and they booked the sessions that day far enough apart that I never felt rushed, but at the same time things moved along at a good pace, and they got me in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. Jeff and Megg are both so pleasant and were really easy to talk to, that time went by really fast, and next thing I knew, I had over 200 shots in a wide variety of poses to work with! The turn-around time with the photos was really quick, and I ended up having one photo re-touched, which was also really quick (just a few additional days), which turned out really great. And best (and most important of all), I now have *too many* (is that even possible?), very professional headshots to choose from, that my biggest concern is which one to choose as my main go-to photo!
