I saw an ad for this place in the local Creative Loafing and I was really excited to see a new adult toy & lingerie store in the area. I regularly shop at such places all around the state of Florida, and having a new one right near where I live would be a good thing..... I thought.
Upon entering the store the first thing that I encountered was that the employee behind the register was in the middle of a video chat with some man over her phone. Casual conversation. Not business related. She was talking loud enough that anyone in the store could hear her entire conversation, and the volume on her phone was set so loud that the man she was video chatting with could be heard loud and clear too.
Except for one other woman that entered and stayed about 5 minutes, I was the only other customer for the 20 minutes or so that I was there. Just me and her, and her extended video chat.
She paused her conversation for a moment when I entered, asked me if she could help me, and when I replied that I was just browsing, she went back to her video chat, which continued the entire 20 minutes or so that I was in the store.
She did pause after about 10 minutes to ask me if I had any questions (I think the guy she was talking to stepped away from his phone for a moment). I said 'well, there are no prices on anything" and she explained that that they have just opened recently and she could tell me what any item's price was.
She went back to her video chat. I asked about the price of several items over the next 10 minutes, and she looked them up while continuing her video chat.
The store itself is very small, and they just don't have much in stock. The prices of the 3 or 4 items that she looked up for me were about average retail price. There was nothing unique at all for sale, except for the Tshirts with their company logo on them.
So, if you are considering visiting this shop I would not recommend it if you will have to drive more than about 5 miles to get here. Every other similar store around Tampa has a better selection of products, and that's kind of sad because there are are a couple of other similar places locally that do not have much in stock.
Maybe by the time you get here, if you do decide to visit, there will be price tags on everything, so you won't have to interrupt the employee's video chat to ask how much things cost. It shouldn't take very long to price everything in the store. There's just not much available. read more
