I stumbled upon this park by chance as I was running along Oakland Road... What a great find, such a cute lil spot! This is definitely a neighborhood park, adjacent to an apartment complex and very minimal offerings in terms of play structures and grassy area. But it's definitely clean and inviting, and peaceful. I really love the simplicity of it.
I especially love all the greenery and flowers along the borders and walkways, it's like a mini hidden oasis. There's a cement trail, apparently Coyote Creek Trail (according to the sign), but it is very short along this park, since it's a small park. It's probably about a quarter mile from the entrance at Oakland Rd leading to the townhomes. Still, very flat and easy if you don't want a challenging run (laps, since going once down the trail isn't much), and it's ideal for romantic walks with a significant other, very picturesque, and plenty of benches throughout as well as picnic tables.
There's only minimal street parking, probably mainly for residents. But there's plenty of parking at the shopping plaza nearby, I imagine great for picking up sandwiches or ice cream and having a picnic here. read more
