They came highly recommended by OTs from EI and from colleagues at UIH. So far my daughter has had astronomical leaps in communication, social emotional skills, self regulation, and academic (kindergarten) skills. She still has a lot of things to work on but the team has been amazing. I want to specially shout out Salena, the BEST BCBA ever. She sets aside an hour bi weekly to talk to me about my daughter's progress, my future goals and priorities, and sometimes acts as a parent therapist to help me manage my own expectations and anxieties. For a long time, my daughter would not enter public bathrooms. This is something we've been working on for years. Since Salena has taken over her case, my daughter now goes inside Starbucks and Trader Joes and even washes her hands! This has been the MOST progress she's had on this front. My daughter is also very attached and affectionate towards Salena, which is a testament to her skills and genuine care.

In addition to their love and care, they provided her with enriching activities to promote her cognitive, social, and motor development. My husband and I are both teachers, so we said goodbye for the summer. On her last day, we were both so touched by the kinds words her teachers shared with us. From the first time we toured the facility last summer, Ceci made our family feel welcomed at KindCare. On the first day we dropped our daughter off, Lupe made us feel like she was safe and in good hands. Brielle could always get a smile from our daughter and made sure to share all of her accomplishments with us. Brielle also said her laughter would sometimes wake up the other babies... so sorry about that! I always appreciated how Brielle and Lupe always took the time at pick up to describe our daughters day. They would also share observations and things we could look out for at home. Tamera and Sarah rounded out the team in the infant room and contributed the positive environment.

My husband and I (first time parents) brought our six week old son to Dr. Franzia after going through two different pediatricians that provided no solutions to our problems. I called Dr. Franzia's office and was immediately set up with an appointment to see her. Within minutes of observing my son, she diagnosed him and had him on a plan to get him on the right track. My son has a milk protein allergy and acid reflux. She knew what his issues were and knew exactly how to treat them. Dr. Franzia was so positive and supportive to my family. She saw my son for the first time on a Friday and I called her crying the very next day and she was so supportive, so confident that we were doing the right thing for my son and she gave me the confidence I needed and reassured me to stick with our plan and my son would be better in no time. Dr. Franzia and her staff worked with my insurance company (we all know how annoying insurance companies are) and dealt with them to help us with prescription formula for my son because of his allergy. She wrote letters to the insurance company, answered phone call after phone call from us and them. She really goes beyond the average doctor. She is genuine and caring about children, she treats our son like she would treat her own children. I honestly can't say enough about what Dr. Franzia has done for my family. Example: my baby was born 34 weeks due to me having severe preclamspia and he caught up in weight and we went to this doctor and they told us few things- 1). It's ok to sleep with baby in bed knowing he was born premature. 2). Roma showed how to wrap baby in blanket making sure blanket wraps around baby's head so pacifier doesn't fall and said he can sleep alone this way. 3). Didn't take the risk of SIDS seriously. 4). Always annoyed when I ask questions. 5). Rushing off the phone. 6). Here's the cherry on top--- My baby was experiencing some more gas than I wanted for him and I primarily pumped breast milk and formula kendalmill cows milk. I was then told to possibly switch to goat milk which can help his gas.... I remember before the transition I was nervous and I wanted to get a protocol on HOW to transition Roma very quickly Told me to just transition him Without any transitional period. My baby was crying and screaming for hours and hours and hours and then they said it's normal .... He has to get use to it. I tried again for 3 days and again more irritated and crying longer. One night my baby couldn't stop crying for 6 hours straight. I called the emergency line (I called twice before about something else they failed to call back) and she didn't pick up I left a detailed voicemail. She then calls me back 3 hours or so later sounding very very annoyed and she said you call so much told me we were not the right fit lol can you believe that? Totally left us with no pediatrician and left us hanging. Such a rude and selfish human being. I think she cares more about her unattractive Botox than she does her patients. Thankfully we found someone ten Times better. And now she wants to charge $2k to just go to her clinic? Hilarious. She is a joke. I don't appreciate how little she truly cared about me and my son. Not to Mention --- the 1k I paid to be a patient is not returned ANd they charged me $60 for my son's records. Please do yourself a favor and find someone else.

My wives doctor introduced us, after a long night of labor and Dr Ruiz set up an appointment for our first baby visit. As exhausted parents, after a midnight birth and no sleep, I am sure we would have made an appointment to fly to the moon, if someone signed us up. We visited Dr Ruiz and really liked her and decided to continue with her for the last 6 years. She is really good with children and that confidence is good for the little ones because they feel safe. Plus she makes the nurses do the dirty work with the shots. Kids do not like shots and as a parent it is so sad to see them cry when they are really full of fear and pain. Recently the nurse drew a smiley face around her test and handed a piece of gauze and told her to keep wiping his nose. It was very cute and kind of erased the pain from her mind. I also must compliment the new location. It is only a block down from the old building. I know it took years to complete but it is really nice. The waiting room is really comfy now with a TV playing kids shows and another room with toys to keep them occupied while waiting. They did an amazing job of putting it all together. This is not the closest doctor to us but we feel safe that Dr Ruiz is like the 6th person to meet our little one. All of her shots and checkups have been done here and that makes us feel safe when getting those. So if you are nearby and looking for a doctor good with children, then I highly recommend Dr Ruiz.
