FYI, we haven't even been at the beach since covid. So, yeah... first time in the water in a while and learning how to surf. With great instructors anything is possible and it is never too late to learn something new. In the water they made sure we were safe and guided us thoroughly. My wife was able to stand on the board on her first wave. It was really fun. I needed more help and they were always there to coach us right along. We weren't sure how it would go, but coach Elliot made all the difference. He was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding of our son's needs. The first couple of attempts were tough- our son was nervous about riding the waves and facing the unknown. But coach Elliot never rushed him and offered steady encouragement the whole time. Jaz and his crew were excellent surf instructors to my two daughters and wife! Even though we won't be ready for the waves of the North Shore anytime soon, these guys are an excellent school!
