Cancelled without informing us.
We had booked a taxi for a short distance and paid in advance using their online payment portal. We then received an email confirming the request for the booking and subsequently two emails and texts confirming that the booking had been accepted.
Confident that we had our transport to and from the wedding sorted we didn't contact any other firms. Ten minutes after the taxi was due to arrive (the website claiming "We are punctual" as a main selling point) I called to check what had happened, assuming they were stuck in traffic or on another job. I was told, "We tried to contact you but couldn't, basically we are in Purley and it's a little way for us so we had to cancel. You have already been refunded." The result of this was a severe delay to the wedding and the stress of having to sort other transport. The company claimed we were too far despite a) working in the Oxted area where we live and b) their website claims "Our drivers can pick you up in any places And Any Distance in the UK.".
To top it off, the company confirmed the booking by email and text. They failed to call once (ONE CALL?!) and then just didn't turn up. I understand if you can't complete a job for whatever reason but you should still make an effort to contact someone, at least by all the means you used to confirm the booking. One call, no text and no email is frankly a joke.
I also checked and we have still yet to be refunded for the money. I will update this if they ever deem us worth sending out money back, for a service which is by no means cheap for a 15 minute drive.
Highly recommend not booking with Orange as you're like to have no taxi when you need it with no reason why and your money gone.
