Unfortunately. He's a good guy but not the best business practices.
I used him because he was starting a business and love to help people when first starting a business and support them.
The furnace somehow fell of his truck on the highway and needed another one later.
Much later I have had a unit brought in to my Grand Lake home made by Coleman.
I have had now 2 different techs come out to look at it multiple times. With issues. All my other projects and homes have got great furnaces and never even needed a turn up.
I reach out September 9th to make sure it's working okay since a caretaker said it wasent on. And the caretaker is elderly and did not touch a thing. He says I'll come out to look at it when im in Grand Lake next.
September 13th tells me " Just looked at the furnace... the bottom door wasn't latched properly. There's a switch behind that door that turns off the power if the door is removed. You should be good to go"
But wait he is the only person that has ever touched it.
Months later I keep getting a bill for $135. Surely it's a mistake. So I ignore it since no one will charge you $135 to pop in while he's already in Grand lake to close a door on a product he installed and worked on.
In November before snow season. I have a HVAC tech that owns a firm in Denver come in and he mentions to me this Coleman was truly thrown together in there and he does a few things to make it better and done correctly.
I keep getting a bill. No idea why.
Today I answer the phone and he's demanding his $135 for popping in 5 days after I rang him when he said he would be in grand lake to.... Close the door.
He said "you pay for my knowledge not my time" then proceeds to hang up on me.
Ugh. I don't mind paying ever. But don't hang up on people. Don't be rude. Don't burn bridges on $135. If you did work charge someone but not when you stopped by 5 days later for a door that was open.
I have 2 more tankless I would have loved to give you the business for but not after this.
Wish you the best but treat clients better than this. read more
