Fried pork, avocado, tomato, grilled white cheese arepa

Get the cachapa!! It's a mix of sweet corn served with your filling of choice (we got the shredded beef) and a pat of sweet butter on the side. We also ordered a chicharron arepa and yucca fries. There is a series of house made sauces you can use for everything as well. Really tasty food and a relaxing vibe to rest your feet.

This place reminds me of Argentinian food. Their Pastelitos are like my grandma's. We walked here from the park. Lovely neighborhood with my boyfriend.

Great venue for a tasty light lunch. We took outside seating and enjoyed the tasty treats with a glass of red wine and a couple of beers. Service was excellent and friendly. We'd go back if we had more time.

Garlic sauce

Best pastelitos in town, the cheese one was incredible. Cachito was really good, made me feel back in Venezuela. The traditional garlic sauce was amazing, very tasty!! 100% recommended

Cachapa 10/10 estaba demasiado rica.

Nice Lil spot in Polanco area. There is much you want to try on the menu however they are bug portions and your eyes are way bigger than your stomach! Plenty of options for your gluten free friends. Got a sampler of chicken, beef and pork and all very good! All this fed 3 people. All were happy too!

Hallaca- super delicious!

Must try. The food is excellent and authentic. Ambience and service is great. I recommend any arepa, cachapa or the long empanadas and durning December try the Hallacas!

the best arepas i've ever had! They are full of flavor and this place has lots of variety! Also these things are HUGE!! They are packed with meat and the sauces this place gives you are amazing as well.

Desayuno Llanero

The atmosphere, the food, the staff. This place has it all. From the moment you sit down, the staff makes you feel as if you're a part of the family. Couple that with the soulfully cooked dishes (which taste like your grandma made them) and you really feel like you're at home at Órale Arepa. The restaurant is bursting with energy, smiles and laughter and the energy is infectious. Onto the food! We came for breakfast around 10am and I ordered the Desayuno Llanero. My girlfriend had some dietary restrictions and Jorge, one of the partners of the restaurant, was more than accommodating (thanks so much!). We fell in love with both our dishes immediately after the first bite. Words can't describe how delicious our meals were. You should just come here and try it for yourself!

One of our few regrets about our trip to CDMX is that we wanted to try new places so we didn't go back here for brunch.

We were served blue corn tostadas with a few different sauces - all of which were tasty, especially the spicy creamy green one. We then ordered appetizers to share. All were tasty but hands down my favorite item was the pulpito. The octopus was so tender and went perfect with the little potatoes. I also really liked the rib eye tacos which came with the best red spicy sauce and the tiradito which is a campachi Crudo. From the cebiche tasting platter (no photo), I liked the atun the most. Of course we ordered desserts as well. I actually cannot remember the names but will comment on them with the attached photos. One I' didn't get a photo of was a chocolate dessert. It was very good but rich. If you're in the neighborhood I suggest trying this spot out.

Half of the table orders were taken but not the other half. We had to keep calling the wait staff back. We received our food at different times. Someone received burnt rice as well. The manager did come over and apologize in addition to offering us a comp dessert. I did not enjoy the tres leches, it was way too sweet but the other desserts were good.

We had to wait quite awhile (maybe 20 minutes) at the front for a table to open up, but there was plenty of décor to photograph in the meantime. We were escorted upstairs. Our bench table overlooked the rest of the venue. So colorful and breathtaking!! Love all the Instagrammable plant walls with neon lights. The menu for this place is insane. So many different vendors to order from. The waitress came by, and I gave my partner the freedom to order a cocktail for me. And our shared food, for that matter. The cocktail was pretty good. I'm especially obsessed with the stylish mug it came in. For dinner, we shared a Brazilian dish containing stredded beef, black beans, white rice, egg, yucca, and plantains. SOOOO delicious. My mouth waters just writing this review. Service is great but slow as expected in CDMX. Overall I can't wait to come back and try many more menu items!!
