Pork, shrimp, calamari, tripe - and more - plus a savory broth (14€ for normal, +2.50€ for a large bowl), the noodles come out quick. I usually get a coconut juice or an espresso (afterwards) to get a little pep with my meal. This is a casual eatery - dine solo, or bring a group of friends or family! I've been coming here for years, and my interactions with the staff have been pleasant. It probably helps that I can speak broken Cambodian and French, though? Credit accepted.

The only thing making me not give full score is that the food tastes good, but not awesome. The starters were nice, my gf's dish was good and mine was o.k. But for the price in not gonna complain, and you also got a decent serving!

We needed a break from French food. Very cute, colourful place with a casual vibe. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food. We both got the shoyu (soy based) ramen, and were impressed when it came out. They had all the trimmings right - bean sprouts, bamboo, egg, seaweed, fish cake, roast pork, and very generous portions of noodles. While the broth isn't as good as the best we've had (because that was in Japan), for a Western version we were very impressed. Anywhere with generous noodle portions is a win in my book. We both really enjoyed the change of flavour, and were impressed by such a big bowl of tasty food for such a good price. Lyon has some of the best food in the world, but if you just can't bear another heavy, meaty meal, treat yourself to a nice bowl of ramen here.

My wife and I sat outside on a sunny Saturday and enjoyed a drink and lunch while watching the locals at play. The drinks were very good, the service fast, friendly and attentive. I do want to start out by saying that our service was fantastic--our waiter was super kind and all…read morethe staff were very accommodating. I think the waiter may have been new, as there were very long pauses in service which was unusual given that the restaurant was not very crowded, but he was so lovely we didn't really mind. The food was alright, though not outstanding. Unfortunately, the menu we saw from the sidewalk was not the same as the menu they were serving, so we ended up ordering burgers (le French cheese), which we weren't expecting to do. They were fine but strange. We requested them à point (rare/medium rare) and they were served closer to medium well, albeit still juicy. The meat itself was good, but the cheese (though described as cheddar) was too close to American for my taste. I thought I'd love the herb mayo, but it was strangely thick and disproportionately herb-y (something I never thought I'd say!). We also ordered a burritina appetizer, and didn't love the sauce it was served with. On a positive note, our desserts were quite good! The cassis ice cream was tart and creamy, and the moelleux was very yummy--like a molten flourless chocolate cake with unexpected fruity notes in the molten center. For those with nut allergies, note that the ice cream on that dessert is unexpectedly topped with nuts!

Great value for a wonderful meal!…read more Five of my friends and I came here together for a casual place serving some lyonnaise food, and it was exactly what we wanted. Service was perfect--just the right amount of leaving us alone to eat our food and being attentive enough to refill our carafe of water. Thankfully, one of our group spoke French fluently so communication wasn't a problem, but our server (whom we suspect was also the chef) was very patient waiting for all of us to understand what was in each dish while we were contemplating our orders. Three of my friends ordered the sausage, apparently a tradition from Lyon. It was a nice, mild sausage served with scalloped potatoes and mushrooms. Two of the others ordered the special of the day, a veal dish also served with the potatoes and mushrooms. (It seems the man who runs the restaurant has a set of sides, all delicious, that he serves with all the dishes. He executed them well, and they went nicely with everything on our plates, so no complaints there!) They both enjoyed their veal, as well. Most of them got the two-course meal special, where it was a main course and dessert for approximately 15 euro. I ordered a three-course, 19 euro menu with the salade lyonnaise (delicious! I'm not usually a big fan of salad, but the dressing was perfectly done--not too overpowering and just the right amount, there was a poached egg, bacon...everything a salad should have, of course), the magret du canard (duck breast) which came out in large slices cooked very pink but perfectly tender (and with the expected scalloped potatoes and mushrooms), and a hazelnut tart of some kind for dessert. Everything was delicious, and for such a great price, too! I certainly recommend making a stop here if you want great food representing what Lyon has to offer!

I got their trio of tartare as well as their potatoes. The 3 tartare were: classic, vegetable, and mint. The vegetable one was far and above my favorite. Second was the mint. The mint gave it a more Middle Eastern taste which worked. My least favorite was the classic. I've had much tastier "classic" tartares and this one tasted like they put ketchup in it or something like that. I was not a fan. The potatoes seasoned with Herbes de Provence were good. The atmosphere is nice too and almost feels cave/cellar like. They have a number of other delicious looking tapas to choose from and I definitely would return.
