I voiced my frustration to the receptionist about my current visit and past visits, and her response was that is how it is and if I told the doctor he wouldn't care. I like Dr. P but the lack of regard for people's time is making me consider switching doctors.

I had just recently had a major trigger and was experience a strange breathing problem where my breaths would just stop whenever I tried to go to sleep at night. My heart was also skipping beats 24% of the time (reading from my heart monitor) and my Cardiologist insisted that I needed to have surgery (Cardiac Ablation). I had seen several different doctors and specialists who all had no answers about my breathing issues and they hid behind their skepticism of whether I was even truly having those symptoms. Dr. Wang, however, was honest and didn't claim to have the answer himself, but he shared his own personal story of when he was once a young man who struggled with something similar. He had a suspicion that all my symptoms might have shared the same source of problem - anxiety. So he said, "Let's give it a try." After just the first treatment, that night was the first night in 3 weeks that I was able to sleep more than 5 hours. I slept for 7 whole hours. Then on the next night, I slept for 8 hours and knew that it could not have just been luck. The acupuncture was working. So I immediately called him to schedule another appointment right away, and another, and then another. I wound up seeing him 3x a week for about 3 weeks. That was all it took for me to see all my symptoms go away about 85-90%. No more need for heart surgery. And during that whole time, he did not try to prescribe me any herbs. When I had asked why, he simply said that he wanted to wait and see. That showed me that he was genuinely trying to do the right thing for me and not simply trying to make more money. This was my first real acupuncture experience and I walked in as a skeptic. But I can honestly say that I'm a believer now. And I trust Dr. Wang.

When I asked "I thought copayments don't apply to annual physicals?" the front desk person said "this is your first time here" Again, billing insurance for billing sake. Saw a nice young medical assistant who had great bed side manner and took my details on a computer just moments after I wrote the same on the intake forms. Performed EKG. I never understand why doctor's offices do not read the forms. Dr. Abrash, entered to perform the physical. He appeared to be "phoning it in". Minimal bed side manner. He performed a complete physical. He did not explain EKG reading to me. I teach anatomy & physiology at a community college and know how to read an EKG. When he left the room to get my lab blood work request form I read my EKG, which was normal. Now for the blood work request. The insurance code used to justify blood work was "abnormal EKG". One would think a caring doctor would discuss an abnormal EKG. Also, the form said " the patient must make an appointment 1-2 weeks later to discuss the lab results" So now I need to go back and pay another copay to discuss results? Not even heading to lab. I'll find another GP and start over. Suggest avoiding this place.
