I asked for my service to be shut off more than six months ago. Then they said they would suspend it for six monts and not charge me, in case i needed it. I said i don't but whatever. They won't let you get off the phone. Then I get a bill from them today on that home. Nobody lives there and there has been no activity for that service. They started billing us again. Had I not looked at my acccount, I would not know. I called and tried talking to the foreigner. He said he would take care of it and get it off and the charges reversed. Then he come back and said he cannot reverse the charges... I explained that I didn't authorize this, but he said we did. I have put a complaint in with the attorney general for the state of Arkansas. Next I am contacting the BBB. read more

You might as well get satellite tv before choosing this company. The cable and internet is out more then it's on. Just got another text about an outage. My stuff has been out more then on the last 4-6 weeks. At least with satellite, you can expect it with rain. read more

Absolutely the worst company to deal with ever! Would be giving a ZERO if available. I disconnected and returned my equipment and then 7 months later am receiving daily text from a debt collector saying I never returned my equipment and owe on a bill. I took care of this 7 months ago. I did go to the office and drop my equipment in a box. A man that worked there directed me where to drop it. It is insane! I have called on numerous occasions trying to talk to a local office and have been unsuccessful in being able to get a local number. They give me numbers and I have gone in circles calling them, but can't seem to talk to anyone local. Just ridiculous!! read more

Choose ANYTHING but Optimum I had wifi through Optimum for over a year and it was always disappointing. First thing I can complain about is that I started with a $60 per month plan and I thought I was getting 300mbps. As time went on, I noticed my bill increase to 65$. Shortly later, a $70 bill then before I knew it I was paying $80 a month. I decided to check my account after this and realized I was paying $80 per month for only 150mbps wifi. When I first got the wifi installed in my house the technician seemed to take a while and seemed a bit frustrated. He told me that the wifi should be up and running in 30 minutes and then left. The WiFi never kicked on after hours. I had to call optimum and get a new technician to come over a week later to do the proper install and then the wifi actually worked. Side note... calling optimum and trying to talk to a real person is always a pain in the ass and is seriously frustrating. Now to get to the actual wifi service, let me simplify it. It Never Worked... it was slow and worked maybe half of the time. Simple google searches on my phone wouldn't load at times and I was the only one connected. My wife just constantly disconnected her phone off the wifi connection. I also did the same, most of the time. I'm very glad I finally canceled my service with optimum. I am now paying $70 per month for 1gb wifi through a different company. I'd give optimum a 0 star rating if I could. read more

I had Optimum internet and with a promotion I was paying $40/month for 300mbps. Several days before I moved I called to check for service and speeds at the new address. I was told Optimum internet was available and it looked like my current speed was as well. Sales agent told me I could simply transfer my account to the new address and nothing with my speed and charges would change. So I agreed to stay with Optimum. However...the next day I received an email stating my speed would be 100mbps and the charge would be $60/month. I immediately called about the situation and was told nothing could be done until the new service was connected. Then I could call back and they would adjust my speed and charges. So, wait a week to have service installed and then see if they will honor what I was told! What could go wrong? And, btw, they prematurely cancelled my internet at my current address. So, several days later my internet was connected at the new address. While the technician was still in the house I did a speed test. 300mbps and was seen by the tech. But before he even got out of my driveway Optimum rebooted my modem and when it came back online I was getting about 80mbps. I called and after many, many, very infuriating minutes with the automated answering service I was able to talk to a human. I should have just stuck with the automated answering guy. I was told 300 was not available in my area but she would gladly increase me to 150mbps...for an additional $20. So now I've got half the speed, 150mbps, for twice the price, $80. WHAT A DEAL!!!! So, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Optimum because their name clearly does not describe their service! And don't believe a word they tell you. read more
