He replaced the capacitor for one, and took the turntable for the other with him to fix. He brought it back the next day repaired. The work for both was over a thousand... maybe 1200 or so. Fast, efficient. Worth it... if it had ended there. But it didn't. The console with the replaced capacitor still had the same problem and the turntable had a new issue and wasn't playing out of one channel. These things happen, no problem... so I texted Chris this, and he would occasionally get back to me but would not commit to come out and finish the work. After months of this I started to get worried. Finally, two or three months later of hounding him constantly, I got him to come out to at least fix the turntable - but only AFTER I had diagnosed the issue myself (was simply a loose wire in the cartridge that needed soldering) and told him not to worry about the second console for now (which he said he'd have to take into his shop since he had no room) if that was what was preventing him from coming out. That worked. He came. Soldered the one wire and one player was working fully. I was happy for at least that. We discussed having him take the other console into his shop in a month or so when he had room and finish what he started... I knew there would extra costs and told him so. Nevertheless, he has stopped responding to any communication from me at all since that day. That was months ago now. Judging by other reviews on here about Chris ghosting them, I fear that is the treatment I'm getting and it's the last I've heard from him. I'll have to find someone else to finish the work I suppose.

I was always suspicious of the pricing, but what do I know, im not an AV expert, so I trusted them. I regret that now. Something is seriously off about this place. I had my amplifier there for months and months, after having been repaired before. The new estimate was for nearly $1500, which seemed outrageous to replace capacitors. I asked for a print out, because I had to pay the $80 assessment fee. I took the print out of my repair to another audio specialist. This audio specialist explained the the parts I was being charged for, don't even go in my amplifier. It was all a load of BS. Simply fabricated. This repair shop then repaired my amp for $350. im astonished, ashamed, confused, and angry that they would do this type of thing to good, hard working people, loyal customers even. You don't know what you don't know... and it seems to me they are taking advantage of just that.

My father had passed down an old TEAC reel to reel recorder/player and this heirloom was very…read moreprecious to me, particularly after he passed away. I left the item with a highly reputable audio repair center in Los Angeles, but unfortunately, they were unable to make any progress on restoring it after two years in the shop. The shopowners insisted that parts would have to be salvaged from other TEAC players and this could take a very long time. I resolved that I needed to do something about getting this item restored immediately. On account of this, I am very happy that I discovered Adrian's service center. I made phone call to Adrian, and he confidently assured me that he can get new parts installed in a matter of weeks. I retrieved my player from the first shop and brought it in the Adrian's shop within that same week. After a nice conversation explaining details about tape quality, he gave me an estimate immediately without even dismantling the unit. He provided two estimates, one basic restoration, and one that would bring the unit back to full factory TEAC specs. I opted for the latter, and this would involve what is known as a tape head relap. This meant bringing the unit to a 3rd party specialist that resurfaces the heads, as cleaners would be insufficient to get the job done. Out the door, the full cost of repairs was under $600 which is a bit less than I expected. But more importantly he promised all the repairs to be done in less than a month. He spoke with me later on the phone and discussed what kind of tapes I had on hand. Armed with this information, he was able to calibrate the bias on the machine for two kinds of tapes to optimize sound quality on recording. I brought the TEAC home last week, and immediately tested out some of my father's classic tapes, and the sound quality was just marvelous. I am so relieved that I discovered a local place in Los Angeles that can specifically repair such a rare commodity these days. I would shudder at having to ship such a fragile, bulky item across the country.

Some of the items included Hawaiian shirts, African jewelry, 3D printer filament, phonograph records, sports memorabilia, dishware, N64 console and games, soldering tips, teddy bears, clarinets, and a book about the theory of relativity. While you're here, stop by the S Building and take a Ham Radio exam. Technician, General, and Amateur Extra license hopefuls wait with bated breath to see if their studies bear fruit. The volunteers are helpful and most of them actively engage in their communities' communication efforts during events like marathons and natural disasters as well as drumming up interest in the upcoming Field Day.

I saw Joe's and used them before so I asked if they could fix my phone without resetting it like Apple, they said yes, I ask a bout pricing, they said the services would cost $400. I agree, send my phone in and it arrives on the 14th of May. I don't hear back until the 19th of May saying that they need to order parts and it's going to take longer for me to get my phone back. I don't know why it took so long just to tell me that they don't have the parts in the first place. My phone was finally repaired on the 8th of June, and I still have not received it back yet. All they offered me was "expedited" shipping which still adds on another five days for me to get my phone back. The only thing they had to say throughout this entire process was, 'oh, we can't control the shipping times...' Zero accountability and poor communication from the beginning. I cannot recommend anyone use this business because of how poor this recent experience was. I was originally happy to have them was an alternative to Apple. I'd rather have my phone reset and pay a lot less than deal with this business again.
