Mickaela was so kind and personable with her questions in order to get to better know my health, but as well as who I am as a person. Because I am a frequent user of the practice's patient portal, I do not mind the $50 administrative fee because I feel it is necessary to balance out the extra work that they have because of the patient portal. For patients with EDS, this office is a godsend as so few doctors acknowledge the disorder, more or much less treat the disorder. I appreciate the added bonus of having in-house counseling and the in-house lab. Every time I go in, I am greeted warmly and well taken care by the administrative staff and medical professionals.

LOL I've been here several times now, for blood work, ECG, et cetera. And like their Scottsdale Family Clinic on Thunderbird , it is staffed by mostly nurse practitioners, who have worked and earned a Masters Degree or better in medicine. All my experiences have been positive and I have found everyone to be very professional. The only drawback so far has been been Mother Mayo's adjusting of local employee schedules and thus creating odd hours for availability of tests and minor procedures. But what I like most, is their shifting away from their practice of automatically scheduling you and now actually reaching out first, before penciling you in at a inconvenient time. Thank the Lord! Also, she gives you paperwork to fill out "it's a survey on depression" and tells you that your insurance requires it, however, I called my insurance and they know nothing about it. Also, if you call in for an appt because your sick she tells you that you MUST stay in your car upon arrival, call and they will come get you. This lady will without a doubt create issues for Dr. Scherer going forward as your first point of contact is the front office, whether on the phone or in person. However, if you can get passed all this, than 100% you are in the best care possible. The medical team is awesome!
