Been coming here for years .. I usually get several pairs for back ups .. even as I travel all over these guys make it simple fast easier than any other place .. took my autistic son with me since he's still just a toddler and they let me have him sit while I got my exam . Got many options for glasses and I chose one before I left .. my frames take a day or more depending on how many I get . They have many designer styles from Prada to Gucci to ray ban to generic .. I choose a lot of styles since I'm always traveling .. this place may be a bit small but they service and staff are friendly and they are always on task . And since it's in the mall you can wait and shop if you come early and wait to pic out frames .. everyone has come here in my family for there eyes .. always see people leaving happy . read more

Excellent care and service. I stumbled onto this office after no other optical place could get my glasses made in reasonable amount of time. They were able to get me a pair of glasses made quickly so I could go on my trip to see my family in SC. Not only did they get me a great pair of glasses made quickly, they (the doctor and staff) explained my insurance and ordered me a great pair of lenses for distance and reading. I personally am not a fan of eye doctors (like some people don't like the dentist) but feel comfortable at this office with the staff and the doctor. OK. Trying to find a new place for glasses and contacts is about as fun as getting a stick poked in your eye. I wanted to find a place that was close to where I worked and that had hours beyond 5 pm and over the weekends. Since this place is located inside of the Florida Mall, the hours are great. It is directly near the food court and I find parking and getting in and out to be very easy. I read reviews about some of the larger chains in the area and I was truly scared, there was a good review for this place on Yelp, So I went for it. Turns out the Doctor was very good, he spent his time discussing the prescription with me and the have nice modern equipment. The staff was very good from the start. I have VSP insurance and they are very familiar with the insurance and know how to navigate it. The selection of frames were good, the were also current and fashionable. I went with a pair of Ray-Ban frames and they were priced very fairly. They made good recommendations all the way through the process from the frame, lenses and contact lens selection - which I changed this time and I am much more happy with them. To make things better, my glasses were finished sooner than the said they would be, I picked them up and all is good. Go for it if you are considering this place - Beats the heck out of Costco which is where I went last year.... read more

These people tell you straight up what you need to have a good set of glasses and or sunglasses. They are very honest and friendly. They take their work seriously and are precise. I used to go to Lens Crafters, but when I saw the different in quality, I will never EVER go their again. Also their staff is well educated, and polite. They work with a variety of insurances and have the best frames I have seen. When I get a pair of glasses I want to make sure they last a long time. Its also hard to find a place that produces dark lenses for sunglasses, but these people know their stuff. read more

I've been wearing glasses since 1977, I have worse experience I ever had in my life, took them for ever to get my Glasses when I went to the store to get my $720 prescription glasses , my frame is only @200, I tried my glasses and I couldn't see nothing clear , I told the technician he took them back to check them than came back to tell me nothing wrong , but when the female doctor checked again she said this a wrong axis in my lenses, than they sent it back to the lab to tell me we made rush order they will be ready I one week now that mean I've waiting now for 22 days and still didn't get it the lie all the time promises just to start put in ,pay the money and than looking for another victim , never ever go to that place , unprofessional rip-off read more

My family has gone to Dr. Poloncak for our eye exams every year for nearly five years. This evening, after finishing up a routine exam, one of the salesclerks/assistants offered to clean and readjust both my, and my family member's frames. Upon leaving the store, we both noticed that our vision had become impaired. After inspecting our lenses, we discovered that the left lens in both frames had become warped and clouded -- imagine looking through a haze! We're going back tomorrow to resolve this issue, and I will then adjust this review accordingly. Be warned!! read more
