Stumbled upon this place on my way back from brunch and decided to inquire about getting new glasses. Jonathan was super helpful and told me that as soon as I sent him a photo of my prescription, he could have a new pair of glasses for me within an hour or so and at a fraction of other eyewear/opticians. Plus, they had beautiful brand name frames which I decided to go with because my last no name brand $8 frames did not last long. I came back a couple hours later, Jonathan adjusted my new glasses for me and I walked out of there with a new pair of Ray Bans :)

This would have translated to a 3-4 WEEK delay and $$$ for them; not nice in this covid world where just keeping functional at-home is a major coup!! Anyways, this firm's optician took me the next day, & then accommodated me again... as I went to the old address by mistake and so was late for the appointment. She then took the time and hunted and found a frame that fit my existing lenses; and fit them in while I waited (needed some tooling to fit); and all at a very reasonable price. These people are GREAT! GREAT customer service and LISTENED to the customer. BIG THANKS! This is what builds trust in a service business.

I asked the lady who answered the phone if she could take the appointment for me? Her answer was: "I sell the glasses Sir!". Really....... So I was more then happy to call Greich & Scaff. Took them a minute and I was booked for two eye exam. Needless to say we'll be buying our glasses from Greich & Scaff!!! LensCrafters obviously doesn't care about customer service or customer. Should be a last resort store for you...........

I have always had very thorough exams here, regardless of the student in charge. Of course, they always check with their supervising doctor before prescribing your lenses or glasses. While that is reassuring and quite normal, it can lengthen the consultation time a bit. Their waiting times can be downright astounding, as per usual make sure to call a month in advance for anything. A little cold calling doesn't hurt tough and I have scored an appointment for the very same day (once). Their telephone consumer service is pretty hit-or-miss tough, fingers crossed! The prices on the frames and glasses are alright and you get a 15% discount if you're a student! Should you choose to have your glasses made on site, you can wait in their spacious lobby (or go to the library nearby, shop at American Apparel ..) and leave an hour later with your new goggles! Their selection is quite good, they have a little bit of everything for everyone, from classic frames to high-end brands, hipster spectacles and downright weird stuff. For the times when crap happens, just drop in and they'll do their best to help you: at some point my mom even got her frame welded there. This is definitely a place where your bespectacled self can feel right at home!

I am very grateful for her patience and understanding and mainly for her smiles. When I picked my glasses, some time later in Verdun clinic, another young lady Julie, was just as good, pleasant and helpful. She took time to adjust my new glasses and to explain everything concerning any possible further adjustments.
