None of this, well, we need to tell you that this job is just great for you but it doesn't match anything that you're interested in doing, and you have no skills or qualifications for it, so you have to totally change your resume to even have e a shot business that other bigger agencies seemed to rely upon. Nope, YOH had one job that the recruiter and I worked on together for three weeks, and I ended up getting it. But they were there every step of the way, and having not actually worked WITH a recruiter before, I was totally floored by this experience. If you are looking for a staffing agency that actually wants to find a job with you, rather than putting your name into their count system so they can earn more referrals, than this is the place. I highly highly recommend this Vancouver based office.

This does not excuse poor communication and not getting things submitted on time despite many attempts to address questions in advance from my end. I was reassured that all was going as needed until someone finally suggested that I might be better off finding another accountant when it was already too late for me to do so. They did do me the favor of not charging me for my business return, which counteracted the IRS penalty, but my overall tax preparation bill was still substantially higher than both returns done by my previous accountant the year before and my new accountant this year. Hopefully mine was just an unfortunate product of a bad year by this accountant, but I felt that the amount of frustration the entire process caused necessitated me writing this review.

I definitely do not frequent temp agencies, as I've been working at my current job for almost 3 years, but these were the first people to respond to the many, many applications I had submitted to many, many employers. The woman who was supposed to meet with me, Danielle, was late to her own appointment. She took me to a back office and talked to me about my work history, etc. She said they had "many positions" open. Finished our conversation and was dismissed with a "we'll call you when we have an assignment for you." Her tone the entire time she was talking to me was disinterested, almost as if I was trash. Look lady, you were the first employer to respond to my application. I took a chance on you. Called three weeks later, as I had not heard anything, and a different woman answered the phone, claimed she would "pass my message on" to Danielle, and I would hear back soon. It's been 6 months and I have yet to hear anything. Don't waste your time here. For a business that interviews and hires people for a living, they don't have their shit together. They offered me a position on the spot without checking references, which was a red flag. They also asked me if I was willing to do highly unorthodox things like do collections on clients and borderline unethical things like do legal work for clients. Turns out they do work for most clients declaring bankruptcy and expect their accountants to be collection agents.
