The staff is so friendly and definitely the small town charm is here. No intimidating huge fancy gym with too many people hogging the machines. The price is very reasonable and you get 24 hour access! This may be a gym that actually makes me enjoy fitness. I am generally excited to go back tomorrow and everyday after that. Nearly every visit, within just 10 minutes of arriving, I am asked to remove my child -- which is both unreasonable and unprofessional. My son is autistic, and while he may express himself differently at times, that should be met with patience and proper training, not exaggeration or dismissal. The overall environment is unwelcoming, and I would not recommend this gym to parents looking for reliable childcare.

Today at the Buford club with the PA system turned up very loud the girl starting blaring at 5:30 that the club was closing at 6 pm and showers closed at 5:45. This went on multiple times for the next thirty minutes. Every member there was shaking their head at the disgust and at how rude this was. Apparently it the norm because one lady said she experienced another time that was even more rude. I had my music turned up and it was drowning out my music.

I was looking for a gym close to the house and affordable. I like the added bonus of being able to…read moreworkout on my own schedule. I checked other clubs and found Workout Anytime. I liked Workout Anytime over other 24 Hr Gyms because they didn't require a contract. The facilities were clean and they had multiple locations. The price looked good, too! On the surface, it looked like I found a good deal. I knew up front about the $49 initial fee and the $29 annual fee to guarantee the low rate. What I got hit with was finding out while sitting in the office signing up, that the initial fee for the $15/mo wasn't $49, it was $99. The $49 fee was if you chose the $25/mo plan which included use of Tanning Beds and Hydromassage. The guy who signed me up suggested I go with the $25 dollar plan and after a month, I could downgrade to the lower plan. What he failed to mention was that the contract (for month-to-month) has a stipulation in it that states if you downgrade your membership, you must pay a $49 downgrade fee. This fee nightmare is the basis of the rating. Everything else at the gym is more than I could ask for. They have treadmills, elliptical trainers, some recumbent ellipticals and bicycles, weight machines and free weights. My favorite machine is the reACT trainer. https://youtu.be/WXljK8BbhLg It's a platform that moves in a circular motion. Watch the video to see the benefits of this machine. My experience is that this gym is like most other gyms, there isn't very much trustworthiness on the business side, but if you can get past that part of it, it's probably a good deal. For me, personally, I might stick it out until the fall. I can get a better deal through my company for LA Fitness and only pay a few more dollars a month. What I lose in operating hours, I'll gain in better facilities, but I'll miss the reACT!
