The theater is beautiful with ornate designs to the boxes, unbelievably detailed ceilings with stunning chandeliers, and gorgeous embellishments everywhere. The acoustics and lighting during the performances are great and we were really impressed with the quality of show. Seats are comfortable and between that, the music, and the wine I was practically lulled to sleep. Restrooms are nice and clean and large enough to keep the line during intermission from becoming completely ridiculous. Another great thing about intermission is you can refresh your wine supply in a sippy cup you are permitted to bring into the theater with you. I also really appreciate how friendly everyone is here. It's easy getting your tickets and there are helpful individuals to assist you in finding your seats. Between the beautiful and clean venue, the amazing shows they offer, and the friendly service, this is a great place for a fun date night in Omaha.

My review is a few years late...(or in the works)…read more The Orpheum is Omaha's oldest theater. and has been rebuilt a few times. It is the iconic Orpheum you would envision. Ornate plaster work throughout a large hall with multi tiers of detail and old world craftsmanship not done anymore. There is one entrance with about 4 doors to pass through and a mobile bar right when you get in. (this is the busiest spots to get a drink just keep walking) Straight ahead is the main staircase and to your left are the current show concessions followed by restroom and another bar and stairs. Each floor here has its own bar and the 3rd floor also has restrooms the 2nd does not. Most of the seats her have a great view its really impossible to not have a good view of the stage. 1st loge is my favorite. I feel I get full view of the entire stage from a higher up vantage point The acoustics are perfect. The temps are about always perfect not hot not cold. Of all the cities I have been this is for sure my favorite venue for performing arts. Maybe because its home and feels comfy, but looking at all the bonuses nope. This place is a GEM!!!

The staff and director truly care about your child and your family. Their goal is to provide positive dance experiences and opportunities for students in Omaha and they do a superb job at that. They offer classes in ballet, tap, and jazz. As students progress as a dancer, they are provided with opportunities to perform in the community. Best of all, the teachers foster a love for dance and encourage dancers to support each other. The dancers here are well-behaved, respectful and polite. For parents of females, it is nice to see your child in conservative costumes and dancing to appropriate music and not looking like a 20 year old shaking her body in a music video. This is a very classy organization. Great, great dance studio with quality instruction! As someone who lives out west and has attended other studios in West Omaha, I highly recommend Omaha Academy of Ballet. As a person who rarely write any reviews, I am writing this not because I was asked, but in response to how they handled a recent situation. They were beyond understanding and it is clear they are not just a money-hungry business that sees you as a tuition payment. They are an empathetic, understanding business that I will forever support!

My daughter looks forward to her class each week, feels so special having autonomy with her dance equipment and practice, and loves her teacher. And how impressive that her class has a live pianist! As a parent, I feel they truly cared for us when helping us find the right class, talked through her previous experiences, and allowed us to try something before committing - that is rare. I also love the regular (but not overwhelming) communication and parent portal to my bill. I'm a happy new dance mama!

This review is more about the venue than the show, as the show was a one-night event. Reviewing that would be useless. Seats: There's not really a bad seat in the house. A small balcony overlooks roughly 15 rows of seats. The venue is fairly intimate with the stage. Seats are comfortable and there is a good amount of legroom. Acoustics: Our event did not use amplification or microphones. The sound in the 4th row was pretty weak when the violinists began playing. Acoustics were not great, but passable. Ambiance: The interior and much of the foyer is a modern attempt to recreate a Roman or Greek amphitheater. It's interesting. Check in: There's no real ticket window, so people tend to gaggle toward whatever tables are set up for check in. Food/drink: There's no real concession setup. The team at the theater had coolers for drinks. We ordered a beer, Coke, and water for $15. The beer was Coors, the Coke was warm, the water was a mini water and warm. Pretty poorly executed. Policy: They posts signs requiring law abiding citizens give up their rights at the door. (The policy does not impact criminals.) Thus, the venue makes you a sitting duck.

Although they seem really attracted to the donation funnel in the center of the entrance. I was here for Arthur and friends. The Rose Theater Guild was selling snacks for just $1. As well as stuffed characters for $2. And they weren't small nor cheaply made. There were a few characters doing autographs after the show and they did a question and answer in the theater following it as well. You can rent booster seats or bring in your booster from the car.

We also thought the theatre itself was really neat. It definitely has an Old World look to it. A few things that I think could be improved on is informing the audience of where the bathrooms are located prior to the show. I found a bathroom by following someone else downstairs to the basement. Luckily that is where they were headed, as I had no idea. Lastly, although the theater is beautiful, the armrests need refurbishment. My seat's armrests (as well as the rest of my party's seats) had several nailheads sticking up, so that your sweater or other delicate fabric would get snagged repeatedly. Other than these small issues, we enjoyed our time together as a family.

Pretty beautiful old theatre in Omaha just south of the downtown, which is absolutely gorgeous. One of my favourite places in the area to catch a show although the outdoor venue which is brand-new a little bit to the NW is actually better. This is a lovely old theatre and I love performing in these kinds of places, I haven't performed here yet unfortunately... although I have been in this place and I love watching shows or walking around inside old venues like this, which I have done here.
