I fully intend to go to more ballets and upcoming events here, as I had a great experience, as did my family. The ticket prices are less than expected for a ballet, and when seated on the floor you can see the stage very clearly. The second time I went we were on the balcony, albeit near the back, and I much prefer being seated on the floor. The theatre itself is beautiful; the architecture and inner design is gorgeous to look at, take pictures in, and marvel at before the show as well as during intermission. The bathrooms are accessible and there are drinks and small refreshments available. It isn't a huge selection so don't come on an empty stomach, but they are nice to nibble on throughout the show. I have not had the best experience with the mixed drinks, and they tend to be overly strong, which is not my preference whatsoever. It can be overwhelming and my last drink I could not finish and ended up tossing. Overall, I would highly recommend supporting our local arts and taking an outing to go see a ballet here. It is such a fun girly activity, and can be done decently affordable. Take the opportunity to get dressed up, take pics before the ballet, and enjoy a great show here!

The theater is beautiful with ornate designs to the boxes, unbelievably detailed ceilings with stunning chandeliers, and gorgeous embellishments everywhere. The acoustics and lighting during the performances are great and we were really impressed with the quality of show. Seats are comfortable and between that, the music, and the wine I was practically lulled to sleep. Restrooms are nice and clean and large enough to keep the line during intermission from becoming completely ridiculous. Another great thing about intermission is you can refresh your wine supply in a sippy cup you are permitted to bring into the theater with you. I also really appreciate how friendly everyone is here. It's easy getting your tickets and there are helpful individuals to assist you in finding your seats. Between the beautiful and clean venue, the amazing shows they offer, and the friendly service, this is a great place for a fun date night in Omaha.

Ornate plaster work throughout a large hall with multi tiers of detail and old world craftsmanship not done anymore. There is one entrance with about 4 doors to pass through and a mobile bar right when you get in. (this is the busiest spots to get a drink just keep walking) Straight ahead is the main staircase and to your left are the current show concessions followed by restroom and another bar and stairs. Each floor here has its own bar and the 3rd floor also has restrooms the 2nd does not. Most of the seats her have a great view its really impossible to not have a good view of the stage. 1st loge is my favorite. I feel I get full view of the entire stage from a higher up vantage point The acoustics are perfect. The temps are about always perfect not hot not cold. Of all the cities I have been this is for sure my favorite venue for performing arts. Maybe because its home and feels comfy, but looking at all the bonuses nope. This place is a GEM!!!

I had a hard time finding anything online that talked about the seating for when the doors open, etc. so I will let you know what I learned. The doors open 30 minutes prior to the show. The seats are not reserved but really not a bad seat in the house. It's small and perhaps seats maybe 60-70 people. The chairs are free standing similar to restaurant chairs with a bit of a pad on them. The are lined up on a tiered platform so nobody's head is in your way. They do indeed have a concession stand with minimum snacks but offer alcoholic drinks in cans as well as soda, etc. There was also a 15 minute intermission which was nice. All that worked here that night were amazing and so nice! They wanted nothing more than for everyone to have a great time! I can tell you I had an AMAZING time!!!!

We were greeted at the entrance by the kindest gentleman, who warmly thanked us for coming. Such a small gesture, but it set the tone for the evening. At the box office, there was a tiny ticket snafu, but the staff handled it quickly and got us squared away in no time. Before the show, we took a few minutes to check out the Titanic artifact display. I always love seeing pieces of history and how they're woven into the experience. Fun Fact: The bestie and I dressed up as the Titanic and the Iceberg for Halloween one year. I attached the picture for giggles. Also, be it known... I was the Iceberg, and I WAS THERE FIRST!!! Naturally, we headed to the bar to grab a drink and some water. The line moved fast, which we appreciated. Our first drink choice, the Cutwater Strawberry Margarita, sounded promising but turned out to be more of a shipwreck than a smooth sail. After a few sips, we tossed it overboard and went back for something else. No Cutwaters were harmed in the making of our evening, just given a respectful burial at sea. As for the show itself, it was fantastic. The props, the staging, the talent, everything drew me in. The story was told beautifully, and I found myself totally captivated. Omaha has some serious talent, and if you haven't been to the Omaha Community Playhouse yet, I highly recommend it. They're celebrating their 100th year, and from what I've seen, they've got a century's worth of magic to be proud of.

We were a little bit discouraged that we had to wait in line because there was only one worker available, and she was handling a lengthy customer service phone call. Other than that, service was helpful and friendly, albeit a little short staffed. The building itself is great, you definitely don't feel like you've stepped into New York City by any means, but it is well-maintained and modern. The seating area of the Theater itself looks a little more aged, but nothing to whine about. Our seats were a little tight, but again not deal breakers. The show: I for one love theater and musicals and really any live showing. As a former All State speech student and heavily involved with school plays, I love getting to go see a good production put on. I had a little trouble with this particular play because my personal views are a little bit more conservative than the bathroom humor of this particular production. As far as the actors go, the main character, the one who plays Maxine, felt a little bit over done to me. Yes yes, I'm sure that's what his character and director were aiming for: what I am saying is that his character felt like it stayed at the same climax/volume for most of the play. He quickly became an stresser rather than a comedic relief. Jack's character, on the other hand, while intentionally supposed to be played down a bit more, did a fantastic job. Jack's character offered a little more complexity, as well as just a more authentic feel, his was a character that felt like he could actually exist among us. Margaret was also a delightful character to watch, she played her part well and seems to be a very talented young actress. Aunt Francine may have been my personal favorite, I spent most of the play trying to figure out how old the actual actress was ha ha. Overall, the content was not my personal favorite, however, for the average theater attendee, I think most people would really enjoy this production. I am a hard nut to crack when it comes to comedies. The group of actors on the stage was clearly a very talented team who had put in a lot of hours of work and rehearsal into this theatrical production, and it was well worth the visit.

This review is more about the venue than the show, as the show was a one-night event. Reviewing that would be useless. Seats: There's not really a bad seat in the house. A small balcony overlooks roughly 15 rows of seats. The venue is fairly intimate with the stage. Seats are comfortable and there is a good amount of legroom. Acoustics: Our event did not use amplification or microphones. The sound in the 4th row was pretty weak when the violinists began playing. Acoustics were not great, but passable. Ambiance: The interior and much of the foyer is a modern attempt to recreate a Roman or Greek amphitheater. It's interesting. Check in: There's no real ticket window, so people tend to gaggle toward whatever tables are set up for check in. Food/drink: There's no real concession setup. The team at the theater had coolers for drinks. We ordered a beer, Coke, and water for $15. The beer was Coors, the Coke was warm, the water was a mini water and warm. Pretty poorly executed. Policy: They posts signs requiring law abiding citizens give up their rights at the door. (The policy does not impact criminals.) Thus, the venue makes you a sitting duck.
