This was unexpectedly awesome. This fabulous little coffee shop in this very small town in the North Carolina mountains was amazingly comfortable with a wonderfully comfortable vibe. A great display of baked pastries to look over while I waited in the short queue before ordering my latte in a "here" cup. It did not take more than a couple of minutes before it was called out and I picked it up. Simply delicious and creamy and a real delight. Literally stopped in as we passed through the area on our road trip. What a great place for an all natural pick-me-up. Amy had a pumpkin spiced latte and I had an oatmilk latte made with homemade vanilla. The roastery and seating area is clean and inviting with sift jazz playing in the background. The baristas are friendly and the baked goods are fantastic too: farm fresh ingredients and clean labels. Make sure to make this your next stop. Either I didn't understand the menu or it is limited . No matter the menu the coffee is darn good . Extremely flavorful and smooth . Got the almond joy coffee , it was not to sweet and overpowering . Just a spot on perfect flavorful drink that I paired with the gluten free brownie . The gluten free brownies are not your typical gluten free brownie . They are more like a cross between a brownie and a cake , moist and crumbly . Nice chocolate flavor with chunks in it , good and messy . Would not advise driving and eating them . I travel around the world and i was here visiting to help hurricane relief from hurricane helene. Me being a coffee nut, i was searching for a cozy coffee shop vibe with space and seating while also having a good coffee and this spot was it. I have come here and continue coming here for my visit and just love it. The music they place is also very cozy and vibes, their coffee is actually good too granted I typically just like espresso but its great, roasters y'all are doing great. Baristas and staff are very nice, considering I am from california, southern hospitality is real. Barista's are adorable and was funny overhearing two girls talk about this guy who came in who they saw i believe on a dating app. Sorry to ease drop i just know i would do the same thing. All of their baked goods are made with organic locally milled flour, they have gluten free options, they use A2 mail (highest quality for vitamins and nutrients after raw milk), all syrups are organic and homemade, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the prices are WAY better than Starbucks and you aren't poisoning yourself. This is THE highest quality coffee shop with the best prices! My husband and I love the Mariah cranberry (that was seasonal for Christmas), Carmel macchiato, coco macchiato, cherry lemon scone, and mixed berry scone. We have drove past this place a few times, thought it was a restaurant and stopped one time but we only seen baked goods and coffee and as much as I love coffee figured we would stop back sometime just to try the coffee. They do have plenty of parking as well as a drive thru. The drive thru is always busy Everytime we have gone by there is a line. This day we decided it was time to stop and try the coffee. They were pretty busy, but you walk in order and pay then wait till it is made. They do have a club to join with your phone number to earn points and get free stuff! Of course I had to join!! Ordered the coffee of the day. They put the sugar and cream in behind the counter which is nice even though they have it set up almost like a starbucks or like where you can fix it yourself, but because of covid they don't have anything there but the stirers. We asked about the coffee roaster, the man making it said he was doing about 18 lbs and the machine will hold 20 lbs. Pretty neat to see him roasting it,then cools it and bags it up and starts again with another batch. I am sure you have to know what your doing so it makes a good tasting coffee. It was a dark roast we had. The coffee was really good. You could get refills which was like half the cost of the original price you paid. I visited this coffee spot on 12.1.23. I ordered a turkey bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuit was cold. The cheese was cut in a square shape, thick and chilled, and the bread was hard and dried out. I ordered an Oatmilk Cortado with one pump of vanilla. The cashier grabbed an 8 ounce cup to hand to the barista. I told her that cup was fine, but to make sure that it was the traditional 4 ounce Cortado. I also ordered an iced coffee. The total was $13 and I tipped 3.00. When I got to my car to leave, I took a sip of my Cortado and noticed immediately there was no vanilla. I went back in and had to wait about five minutes for any acknowledgment from the workers. The same cashier that took my order walked by and I requested the pump of vanilla that was supposed to be in my drink. She told me that next time I needed to tell her when I ordered that I wanted vanilla because it cost extra. Wow! I told her not once, but twice that I wanted one pump of vanilla. That was not the answer I would've given a customer had I been in her shoes. I would've immediately apologized and corrected it. I understand she is young and has a lot to learn in terms of customer service but I think this would be a great opportunity for her to be taught a better way to respond to a customer in this situation. I would rate the customer service, awareness, and friendliness of the people working there very low. Lastly, the iced coffee tasted like old coffee grounds put in water, it was terrible. So I ended up wasting $16 of my money in addition to 20 minutes of my time. I would suggest you go to the bakery, called all good things, it is just a couple miles down the road. They have coffee and baked goods with kind and present people to serve you. read more

This coffee shop was once awesome! Great smooth coffee, friendly courteous service and nice homey atmosphere. That being said, over the last year or so the following has been my experience on several occasions: 1)Terribly Inefficient drive thru- typical wait is 6-8 min per car. If you're 3 cars behind, you will wait18-24 min. 2)Their coffee uncharacteristically tastes burnt and bitter. 3)They've been out of half and half cream for the last 3 visits over a month period. 4)Their scones are awesome! 5)The last thing you will undoubtedly experience as you leave, there is a large unavoidable pothole...drive super slow so it won't knock your front-end out of alignment. Sorry but there is no excuse for this. It's been there for over a year if not longer! I write this in genuine hope the owner will improve the business. read more

The scones at this place are unreal and unlike any scones I've made or eaten. Their tomato basil tasted like a pizza pocket, they sell out quick. The coffee is solid, they roast their own so you can taste the freshness of the beans. The customer service has been mediocre at times, usually great but have been a few times when I just stood at the register with no acknowledgement.
